I have a love/hate relationship with plaid after overdosing on it a few years back (when I felt like a suburban lumberjack.) I still like the festive scarf and the playful ruffles on the orange plaid which keeps it from being too “Brawny.” (Sharing my annual photo in front of my work tree—since I am behind schedule at home. Eek.) DD is home from school so I had a photographer and natural light! Also managed to wear my green velvet blazer and black high rise wide legs. Have to say, I’m enjoying the blazers after a long hiatus. The wide legs are a refreshing change as well.
I was considering a dress for Christmas but came to my senses—I always plan on dressing up and never do. The purple velvet had been in my cart forever and I loved the gorgeous brown print of the the knit dress. Neither did me any favors though. These would be great on someone taller especially if you could wear them as a tunic with jeans. The Leith dress is great but the moody print is more my style than the tiny floral. Sharing these in case anyone is interested in seeing them on a regular person.
Thanks for looking and reading my ramblings!
