Last fall I helped DH with his annual wardrobe cull. His golf capsule took a direct hit, but I suggested that we wait until spring to update. DH received a most generous present from his colleagues at work on his retirement - several hundred dollars of gift cards for Golf Town and Bass Pro Shop!

Today we spent several hours at Golf Town where he tried on many pairs of pants, shorts, shirts, and shoes. I convinced him to size down in his bottoms AND his tops - and after everything was tried on and the best items selected, he went for the trimmer fit! (Yeah!). We worked together, and I did get him to stretch and try a pair of pale grey pants and a subtle charcoal and black plaid short. I also selected a claret shirt (he nixed the turquoise). There is a navy with varied blue, grey, and cream stripes across the chest that is more interesting IRL than in the pic, a black, cream, and grey stripe, and a pale blue with cream stripe. There is a lot of mix and match-ability and it works with what survived the cull. He also got a pair of lovely yak leather Ecco golf shoes in a soft grey.

The day was wildly windy and the power kept cutting out at the store! We had a wonderful SA who spent nearly 3 hours helping us, sometimes using the flashlight on her cellphone to read the sizes on the shoe boxes and then hand tallied the bill at the end. Of course the power blinked on just as she finished!

WIW...

#1 eggplant leather jacket - Danier
Black turtleneck sweater - MWWH
Jeans - Levis
Sneakers - Mozo/MWWH
Seatbelt bag - Harvey's

#2 I have kept up with my grooming since the make-up post last week. I found that a light base of green tinted primer (Smashbox) resulted in a smoother application of the BB cream afterwards. Revlon 'Rich Girl Red' sheer on lips. I'm not sure about the colour, but will keep it in rotation. (I LOVE the Revlon 'Pink Truffle').

I think I need a big silk foulard for this outfit too! Now I'm on the hunt for something with black, white, red, purple, navy blue, gold. (Must check out Hermes website for inspo!)

Suggestions, ideas, always welcome. Thanks for looking!
