WIW...for a rare sunny day.

We experienced a rare sunny day in a string of overcast and rainy days. DH and I took advantage of the nice weather to walk to the library, a treat at Queenie's Bakery, and a long meandering walk to scout out blooming Magnolias and Redbuds!

I'm wearing SPF 50 and the hat due to increased susceptibility to sunburn as a result of a topical cream prescribed for Rosecea. The hat was easy to wear, even with some wind. It has an elastic insert inside the crown that helps snug the hat onto my head. Definitely a good feature.

I live in the land of nothing but sun. My friend who had a bad thing removed from her lip, just had several things removed from her scalp. So hats are great! Her doctor said to use zinc sunscreen, so I’ve been trying some of them. They’re kind of thick and gooey. What sunscreen are you using?

Nemosmom - Columbia hat was sourced from a SAIL store. It is a BIG outdoor outfitters like Mountain Equipment Co-op. I picked up a Tilley Hiker’s Hat as well.

JAileen- I’m a big fan of Aveno Baby Sunscreen SPF 50. 100% zinc oxide. I’ve been using it year ‘round since last summer.

My favorite pieces are the hat and backpack. We have sun most days but not lately except at sunrise. Before the sun gets above a thick cloud layer. The latest snow finally is gone, so maybe it will wRm up more. It sounds like a lovely way to spend the day..
