WIW...denim, wine, and cognac.

Gosh, I love these boozy names for colour. Maybe I should refer to the denim as blueberry cordial?

Sorry for the poor quality pictures, but It is now dark when I leave for work, and dark when I get home. I may have to figure out another camera (I use my iPad) or go on picture taking hiatus for a while.

These wine coloured trousers are a lot of fun to play with, and I was itching to try them with my soft denim (dark Chambray?) top. It has touches of cognac so I co-ordinated with belt and leather jacket. The shoes and bag are dark blue.

Though a subdued palette, I felt colourful in a sea of black clothed city folk. Thanks for looking!

Picture taking is very difficult now. I sometimes adjust the light on mine -- it is not perfect but better than nothing. Another option is to photograph planned outfits on the weekend when there is a bit of light. Assuming it's not pouring rain, of course.

Great colours on you Carla. I like the streamlined look of the outfit too. My iPad photos have that grainy quality also... it's annoying because I know that we should be able to get amazing quality out of our iPhones and iPads!!

New term: boozy colours. I'm in You look great in these pieces , and in these colours. Such a nice visual relief from the urban sea of black Bumped into a friend today who was wearing wine coloured skinnies and a denim jacket and made a mental note to keep an eye out for wine jeans.
