WIW...Copy Cat x Style Fan, and Pinterest...

Style Fan' s outfit combination of yellow, cognac, and denim from 2 days ago had me running to my closet to see if I could duplicate it! Outfit #1 is the result.

With an extension of the beautiful weather we are having, I just had to do a repeat of the formula, and came up with outfit #2.

Outfit #1
Yellow crops - Sharon Young from last year ($10!). I don't think the high waist is working for me, but I love the sunny colour. I bet if they were hip hungers, I would wear them to death!
Jean shirt - Jessica/Sears
Belt - ancient Levis
Shoes - Brako (new and devinely comfortable!)
Leather Jacket - Danier

Outfit #2
Blue striped shirt - Ann Taylor (new! Not a fan of button downs, but this is so soft and light weight - and bonus, the sleeves are long enough!)
Jean jacket - Denver Hayes/Marks Work Warehouse
White leather belt - Canadian Tire
Shoes - Steve Madden
Hunter green bag - Fossil (love this bag! Been carrying it since January!)

Pic #3 Pinterest inspiration.

I'm going to play with the yellow crops some more. Likely longer tops since the high waist fits nearly under my bust and accentuates the tummy. I like to roll them a little higher, too, but liked the longer length with the high vamped footwear.

Hello sunshine!! Hasn't it been glorious? I prefer pic 1 Carla - with the lower contrast. I agree with you - a longer top or semi-tuck might work better with these pants. And I'd try without a belt to see how that looks.

That is so interesting -- I think I like outfit 2 better than 1 -- but that might be merely my "seasonal weight of fabrics" poison eye talking. I see leather and bright yellow and get all twitchy, LOL. I love the footwear in both and think you will have fun playing with these.

I like #2 better and would like them pushed down on your hip a bit. Maybe it is worth a bit of tailoring. The color is glorious and they look great with the navy shoes.

Agree that #2 is better. The colours and contrast are really singing. And I've seen Giovanna elsewhere in those pants with a different top. Good to know she repeats things as well!

Wow, those are some glorious pants, isn't it? Love nr 2 best, but would try without the belt (like in the inspirational pictie-or I would rather use a tonal belt) and yes, a welted/faux tucked or drapey blouse (like in the insp. pictie-again:-)) would add more softness to this, otherwise really fab, outfit!

Jacket twins! Well not really but close. Mine is Espirit.

Love the colour combinations of both photos. You have some awesome footwear. I am going to look for some like no. 1.

I echo others about no 2. Very fab but maybe slouch the shirt. I have not mastered a semi tuck so I tuck or don't.

I also like outfit #2 better than #1 because of the shorter jacket. You were dead right to tuck into those pants to lengthen the leg line. Super fab look. LOVE the yellow.
