WIW...closing out the summer & misc

I've been sifting through my WIW's and thought I should catch up. I apologize for being a bit scarce lately. I've been cutting down on "screen time" in an effort to show a good example to both DS's...that and I think I was pushing my screen time too close to bedtime and it was turning into night-time waking with anxiety (admittedly I'm a total type-A...). But here goes a bunch of WIW's from the past week or two. My summer wardrobe worked pretty well for me. My standout workhorses were my Old Navy $20 tanks in white, black, and cobalt (and red too, but I didn't wear that one as much). I'd say the theme of my summer was blue and white, and I loved it. Still enjoying hot weather this week so I'm happy to keep pulling out the summer stuff :).

5 - Vince Tshirt, Gap destroyed BFs, pink/nude oxfords, White Anoki crossbody
6 - Anthro green knit moto, WHBM black pants, VC anklestrap flats (oh my word I look like seal - in dire need of a haircut. Almost didn't post this pic but something is off. Maybe you can help? Ok obviously the pose but what else?)
7 - Blue Vince sweater, F21 cutoffs, Neon ripping apart sneaks - Lincoln is waiting for his walk...

9 - Zara black Tshirt, Gap skinny cigarette pants rolled A La Angie :), SE Cruz, Grey long cardigan - inspired by Ingunn (but not nearly as nice )
10 - Volunteer work outfit - ON sweater, TR Jeans, neon Nike old sneakers
11 - ON white Tank, Primark cardi, TR cutoff crops, BC Hard to Tell sandals
12 - debuting the VC tube skirt! With black ON Tank, VC anklestrap flats
13 - Off to get a haircut finally! H&M top, R&B pajama jeans, SE Cruz
14 - Blue Gap Tshirt, James Perse tank, Hudson white shorts, SE Cruz, Anoki white crossbody

Jackie, you are my younger and more gorgeous style sister. I really relate to your sporty yet polished, clean-lined yet fun, practical yet elegant style. Wow.

What a super set of outfits! I honestly cannot pick a favourite. But 1, 2, 4, 8, 9, 10, and 12 absolutely rock my world. 8 and 12 are dressy casual chic at its best. Your Old Navy tanks are fantastic -- no wonder those were workhorses, as the style is perfection on you. The blue top reminds me a bit of my cobalt silk, the one that Sveta snagged for me at Costco!

For 6 -- I think it's largely the pose, but also, with the jacket done up, the neckline, perhaps -- esp. in combo with an all -dark outfit on you? Scrunch the sleeves, open the jacket, and show a lighter or patterned fluid top, and I think it might be brilliant on you.

There is nothing wrong with #6. It's the pose that is not making the outfit shine like the others. It's a great on trend look. xo

So hard to choose a favourite--they are all so wonderful, really. Elegant and easy--that's how I would describe your style from these pics. I really like #8, though. The neckline on your shirt makes you look stately, gives you such presence and it's sooo elegant.

I think 6 is okay....but it does look drab compared to the other stunning looks. I think it is mostly the photo, but maybe a bright lipstick, or the jacket undone, or different coloured shoes.....

Where do I start? I wish I looked this good in my casual outfits. Love the high-low combination of Vince sweater with F21 shorts in 7. Love #5 with the patchwork boyfriend jeans … you will get lots of wear out of those next year as well I predict.

Oh Jackie you have your stylish casual thing nailed down! So many good things here, but I'm particularly drawn to #3 (casual cool), #4 (white + taupe is a fave, and looks stunning on you), #5 (distressed white-out with a touch of pink), #12 (elegant casual personified) and #13 (sporty to the max!). I also don't see anything wrong with #6, but it's possible that you want a longer moto with those pants OR to unzip it just a bit for a little more casual cool OR push the sleeves up for more skin. You have the BEST denim collection.

Okay, that's not all. These are all so easy and modern in a cool, sophisticated but unpretentious way. Admirable.

Jackie, you are gorgeous, and you have an incredible sense of style. I admit I got only partway through the text before I couldn't help looking through the photos. Then I went back to check out the text and find the sandals in #4, and lo and behold you cite me as an inspiration there! Wouldn't you just know I'd home right in on that outfit! Another standout for me is #12, with the skirt's stripes so nicely echoed in the sandals. You look stunning in that outfit. And you wear your denims, shades of blue, and white so well. What a stylish summer you had!

Jackie, there isn't anything that wouldn't look good on you - with your classically pretty looks and great hair and figure - you rock! I actually started jotting down the numbers of my favourites while looking through your pics so I could comment intelligently, but the list got ridiculously long. For the record - I LOVE 1,4,8,9 10 and 12 - and I notice that Suz and I share pretty much the same list. Is it ok with you if I bookmark your photos for how to dress in the summer?
