Angie's simple Friday ensemble with denim shorts has been in my head since she posted it, and today was a perfect day to try it out. I decided to make cut-offs out of a pair of old Levi 505's since I only have 2 pairs of shorts, and the jeans were too short in the inseam anyway. The sweater (Rachel Roy) is light weight, and though it wouldn't work for a really hot day, is perfect for the cool breezes that we get off Lake Ontario. The slip ons were my 'indoor winter shoes' but are seeing outdoor weekend wear now that the weather has turned nice. They have the ubiquitous Coach monogram all over them, but 'C' is for Carla, too!
Ralph Lauren belt. I think this is my best semi-tuck, ever! And Hat by D&Y.
Question: should I hem the jeans or let them fray naturally? I could hem them under, or do a cuff like the examples in the ensemble post, but was leaning towards just letting them fray with washing.
