I got these traditional fit dark wash jeans for their long ankle covering pp length back in July. After seeing an Angie jean pick with a big cuff, I tried a big double cuff. Angie suggested I wear them longer, so I tried a deep single cuff. I’ve worn them with a deep single cuff several times since! Now I’m seeing jeans styled this way on all kinds of fashion sites.

We are having gorgeous weather - cool evenings, but warm (high 20’sC) and sunny during the day. Tonight DH and I are going to investigate the start of a (local) food and music festival called ‘Cultivate’. Later this weekend there will be a butter tart taste off. (Our town is on the Butter Tart Tour as well as the Apple Route.)

It’s funny, really, Canada and the US, so close and yet so far. I had to look up butter tarts. I’d never heard of them before. You outfit looks perfect for a festival. Your market tote is beautiful.

Butter tarts are the single best thing ever baked. Period. Have fun! I'm taken by surprise at the deep cuff on a wider legged jean- I'm really feeling out of touch these days!

Fabulous! The jeans are so great and the quilted bag is sooo pretty. Super double bag combo. Trendy at its best.

In my house, it's tarte au sucre.

And I'm a huge fan of the deep-cuff! Sometimes a double-cuff feels too bulky to me but I still want a bare ankle. And that Danier bag -- such a great shape *and* colour. One of these days I'll add a half-moon bag (when I get tired of my fanny pack)!

When our American friends come to visit they love to have butter tarts. I like the paisley shirt with the jeans. Great combo. Nice bag. Did you make it recently?

Big fun! Lots of great food, and entertainment. There was a station where you could make your own floral crown! Four bands from 6-11 with the last band “The Sheepdogs”! DH and I were at a picnic table right behind the sound guys.

@Stylefan - I’ve made a few bags with leftover pieced squares from quilting projects. This one is about 4 years old.

@lapedestrienne - I wanted a round ‘canteen’ bag, but couldn’t find one that met my needs. This half moon is the perfect size for my wallet, phone, change purse, and keys!

@Angie - I’ll bring butter tarts the next time there is a picnic at the either/or bench!

Butter tarts sound amazing! Your outfit is perfect for a festival. We are going to a downtown food truck festival tomorrow (84 trucks!) and I am hoping to wear jeans if it’s not too warm. And you make me want to try a deep cuff!

Ohh, I like the way you're wearing the cuffs! The peasant blouse is also a perfect "trendy grandma" look.

(I had to smile at a guy doing the "big cuffs" last night. His went up to his knees, and were nearly white inside. On top he wore a formal white shirt with collar, and a bib, like with a tuxedo, but no jacket and it wasn't attached anywhere but behind his neck. If "making an effort" is a good thing, then he got bonus points in that. Also fun is that Berlin is such a cosmopolitan city that he didn't cause any more of a stir that the guys riding bikes, topless except for butterfly wings that matched their shorts earlier that afternoon)
