Using accessories is a HUGE challenge for me, since I don’t wear jewellery and I’m spare with the ‘bling.’ However, ever since Brooklyn did a WIW thread where she explored belting (double belting, actually) over a suit jacket - I’ve had a desire to copy the look. So here goes -accessories: belt and bag.
The brief: Bridge night in a community centre that runs cold, on a dark and wet night. Changed from white cropped jeans (day look pic #2) into long trousers (wool socks and low leather booties underneath. I tried a wine coloured belt with a gold buckle over black blazer, but not enough of the sweater showed so it didn’t look quite right. A black belt with a silver buckle worked with the silver hardware on the black Coach bag and better with the ‘grey’ of the plaid trousers. I kept the jacket on all night, because, as expected, the venue was cold!
