WIW...a brown study

Wearing the heck out of the chocolate brown sweater, and now a pair of ‘new’ pants to match. A ‘column of colour’ and the start of my brown capsule! I don’t think this ‘cool’ brown is my ‘best’ colour - but, gosh! - the sweater is so comfy!

cashmere sweater - Club Monoco Men (thrifted)
brown plaid moto* pants - Olsen (thrifted)
black sneakers - Converse

*I think these are called moto pants. They have zippers at the ankle and lots of piecing on the leg.

Whatever those pants are called, they sure are cool! And I LOVE your hair! Nothing beats a snuggly cashmere sweater.

Love. And am excited to see someone else starting a brown capsule! It's a neutral I shied away from for a while and have been wanting to add back in. Your chocolate sweater is lovely, and I would like a copy of those pants in my size to magically appear in my closet. All looks wonderfully cozy.

@ Angie - those are my absolute favourite socks! Hand knit in Ireland. I wore black combat boots when I went out, but Converse are my ‘house shoes’. I’m going to try them with my red combat boots. There is a red thread running through the plaid!

@nemosmom - thanks! Post swim hair- still wet in photo. Grew bigger over the course of the day! When next I go for a trim, I’m telling the stylist Merida from ‘Brave’ is my hair inspiration!

Love you in browns and like to wear it too. I wore lots of brown in my November capsule wardrobe and am taking a break. It will be back in January/ early February when I plan to do lots of dark neutral pairings...brown and black, brown and navy, brown and charcoal grey, etc.
Brown would be fun with red.

Agree with all of the above. Brown is a great colour for you! I love the idea of dark brown with red and white accents; makes me think of Swiss Army blankets.

Love this! Amazing thrifted pieces. I think brown is flattering and cohesive with your hair and frames as well. Feeling envious of your curls, I have wavy hair that needs Curly Girl methods to bring out the curl and I haven’t been bothering in our lost year 2020.
