WIW: You're in the harem army now

I will have to do a whole separate post on my "newbie" experiences in a few of these stores, but it was interesting that of all the fabulous items I got to check out at Zara, these pants - which I had posted about earlier - were the only thing that came home with me.

Note that this is not a K/R - one disadvantage of shopping in stores that don't exist where you live!

Worn with DV Joust booties and Theory blazer.

Petite gals are lucky that all these slouchy cropped pants at the moment fit regular length on them. I have an apoplexy about the short length when my 5ft 6 self tries them on.

Are we ever going to see your specs again, Una? I miss them. Trinity is allowed to hibernate through the Alaskan Winter!

It's the length, Ceit. The model wears them cropped. On Una they are regular length.

When I take pics with my specs I feel like my facial expressions are so goofy I can't stand it. I will try to do more spec shots though, since it's how I really look. )

These sit just atop the booties at the hem so they're not EXACTLY full length but I'm glad they work! About time stubbiness paid off!

Looking at the model shot again, I don't know how they got that picture. That's fairly close to the length on me, but the crotch is not nearly so - er, crotchy.

Cathy, I think they are TTS in real life but a bit big for Zara - I'm usually a M and was able to get these in a S. They sit a little higher up in the waist for me, which could be why. They are nice and flowy and have zip ankles!

It was such fun when Una tried these on in the store, because we were all ooh-ing and aah-ing about how they were so fashion forward and fab, and she noted that in her native habitat of Alaska, she was going to fit right in with all the deer hunters and militiamen!

Wowee! Not everyone can wear these crotch-y pants. You, however, rock 'em! This is such a fab look for you. I don't think any hunters of any kind (I was going to say "stripe;" that'd be a nice feat of pattern mixing) will be messing with you.

Cool! You have inspired me to try a similar pair in black. I inherited them from a friend who bought too small! So far too timid to road test them. Mine have a very high waist with a fold over detail which is giving me problems re what type of top to wear. I'll try the tee and blazer like you have done and the booties of course.

Wow! You have convinced me on harem pants (it only took how many years?)! You ROCK them. Between you and rae I'm totally dying for some slouchy silky pants (not likely to happen but I can daydream). I love everything about this outfit, especially that incredible blazer that I covet more and more every time I see it.
