WIW: Yet even more polka dots (ETA trench pic added)

TGIF YLF!

Well not only is today Denim Day at work, but it's also office reorganizing day, which means boxing up old files for storage, filing new information, etc. so comfort, ease of movement, and clothes that can easily be laundered were key. But I also figured I was having so much fun with polka dots this week that I would continue my "mini theme". So today I broke out my new YSL scarf I bought almost two months ago. This scarf is HUGE so it is a bit tricky to tie it in a way that it doesn't overwhelm me - I hope this works. I've put it on top of my newly thrifted silk-blend 3/4 sleeve cream coloured tee, my Gap L&L's in medium wash and my Jambu clogs. Now these clogs will not be to everyone's taste but I love them. I've had them about three years now and am so impressed with the quality. They are the perfect shoe for a day with a lot of standing - excellent support and cushioning. They also have these pretty little flower inserts under your foot that always make me smile. Accessories are my red quilted handbag and chrome bracelet watch.

Does this outfit work? As always, all comments/suggestions welcome.

This most definitely works! I love the scarf and I particularly like wearing scaves like this that are big and full. The shoes are really interesting, I like them. The flower detail is so pretty and unexpected. Is the bag something you thrifted or bought new? It's lovely. Very appropriate for the days activities but still stamped with you inimitable style

This outfit totally works, Shannon! You look happy and huggable. If you were walking down the street, I'd think: "Look at how great that gal looks. Wonder if she'd like to have a cup of tea with me".

<waving to another polka dot addict> Love the scarf and it does not look too big on you. There is some fearless color combination here (bright green and red) which is not for the faint of heart but it totally works.

I really like this. It looks super comfy and fun. Great for a dressed down office day. And those shoes are terrific! I would really like something like that for heavy walking/standing days.

Woke up to see you added the trench! Wow! Your thrifts stores must be so much better thin ours:). Here you will find something great every now and again but you have to go through a lot of old and very dated stuff to find it. Love the color and cut of the trench, it has that retro feel that works so well on you

Lovely outfit. The punchy scarf and bag take your jeans and T up to another level. Love the chunky watch and amazing shoes too! You are starting to remind me of Angie with her bold statement pieces mixed in with basics. I am so excited to finally see the green trench in action.
