WIW Yesterday: Almost black (inspired by Shannon) and new boots!

I happened to be wearing Angie's almost black formula yesterday, and I switched to my new boots at lunch. Was inspired to wear my leather blazer like Shannon did yesterday. Took this pic when I got home. Theory leather blazer, Theory dress (consignment), new Gidigio boots! you can see my other footwear attempts from the morning lying around.

I love that these boots add some heft to my calves but still fit snugly. And I can adjust them with the buckles to fit over skinnies. They are insanely comfy!

I have worn this dress before but struggled with the shorter length - it feels skimpy without tights, or with heeled shoes and boots. These almost flat boots seemed the perfect match, and I love the shaft height on my skinny leg.

It's definitely not too short - especially with the tights and flat boots. I'm so glad you got that Theory jacket and those boots - these are going to be your cold weather workhorses and punch up the "oomph" factor of anything you wear them with.

I am so happy that you got those boots. They look like they're made for you, they're so perfect! They're super-flattering on your legs- you're right that they add a little extra dimension to your slender calves.

Your leather blazer and the boots are just the thing to toughen up a dress and be totally true to your style.

Thanks, Rae! Wish you could see these boots in person - they are a work of art. I know Rita said she doesn't usually wear black leather boots with a leather jacket, so I'm hoping it's not leather overkill here.

Perfection! I have no problem pairing a leather jacket with leather boots, whether they're the same color or not. This doesn't look like overkill to me, and doubly so because this is a leather blazer. Those boots are SERIOUSLY AMAZING. Wow.
