I recently bought a lovely mustard or golden yellow skirt, which I love. I'd been interested in one last year. This year I wanted one even more. I took the leap when I found one at BR a few weeks ago when they were running a 40% off promo. When I got it home, it worked with so much of my wardrobe, I was astonished I hadn't taken the leap earlier.

Unfortunately, while I love the yellow, my auto-correct color correction for my camera really really doesn't. The way it corrects the color is brutally wrong. *Sigh* So, unfortunately, these photos are dark so as to avoid the color correction issue. And somehow I got the camera angle wrong and it foreshortened my legs. These are definitely not going down as my best photos ever.

IRL, the shirt is navy lace, the sweater is a lighter navy (and it has pockets on the hips that you can't see in the photo), and the skirt is a lovely, slightly lighter yellow. The shirts don't run together in a blob of blackish blue. Next time, because the skirt is a little longer, I'm going to wear simple pumps. I think the ankle strap cuts the leg line a bit too much.

I know many of you bought a similar colored skirt last year from Nordstrom. What are your favorite colors to wear with it? I'm planning on navy, cobalt, light blue, chambray, teal, and purple. I bet that there are lots more that I'm not even thinking about!
