My stay-cation is sadly gone with the wind and I am back at work starting today. It was a new, but great experience and I may take more days off just for myself in the future. I had lots of goals to achieve and here is my report for those interested:
1. Get a lot of rest and do some fun reading -100% success, read 3.5 good books, though annoyingly kept waking up at 7am despite my desire to sleep in
2. Cook lots of food to freeze for work lunches later -100% success, cooked and froze big batches of 5 different lunch dishes, as well as three baked goods.
3. Apartment cleaning and decluttering - 75% success, did a lot but have not finished everything I wanted, so I will be still working on it a little at a a time till it is done
4. Huge closet edit &wardrobe planning list 12 items long - 50% success, 4 items are completely finished, including complete closet edit, but not completely posted on YLF; 4 items are partially finished, I am still working on them; and 4 have not been started yet. Since this was a very ambitious plan I am generally pleased with the outcome and will keep working on all the items till they are done.

I spent a lot of time at home in lounge wear, but here are 6 outfits from when I did venture out. I aimed for no jeans:)

#1 - grocery shopping outfit. Ted Baker tee, COH skinnies turned into shorts, rose gold DV sandals.
#2 - Labor day BBQ. Calvin Klein polka dot sundress, Nine West cream wedges. I have sadly ruined the dress washing it on cold after the event. Apparently it was dry clean only, despite being cotton, which I forgot, and the black bled on the white. I need to toss it
#3 - Meeting a friend at Starbucks. Cobalt BR silk tank, VC striped tube skirt, bone Luxury Rebel sandals.
#4 - A doctor appointment. BR denim shirt dress, CK black/white loafers, new Loft silk cat handkerchief scarf. This was an experiment to see how I feel wearing a loose dress of this length on its own instead over pants, as I see other women in the area wearing. It failed miserably as I was really afraid to move and lift my arms, so never again. Strangely, for this length, I much prefer fitted skirts/dresses, I feel more protected that way.
#5 - A relaxing afternoon at local Barnes & Noble. Express white cold shoulder top and button-front denim skirt, with tan Sofft sandals.
#6 - An outdoor wine testing & salsa dancing event. Black KK dress, cognac SE sandals, fun polka-dot cross-body bag.
