WIW x5 - A week of work outfits with bunch of new stuff

I have done bunch of shopping in the past two weeks, but I have spent very little money, courtesy of some generous gift cards I had since Christmas (VS and Express). I used to shop there a lot, so my friends still think those are my favorite places, even thought that has changed. Nevertheless, I was able to find a bunch of things I needed, mostly tops, to update my old wardrobe. Both places had bunch of promotions and coupons, so I have pounced. I got a couple of silk tops/blouses from VS, and you can see one of them, a silk tee, in #5. From Express I got mint skinnies (outfit #5), three spring sweaters ( first three outfits), and a bunch of layering tops, mostly slouchy tees. Sadly, sweater in #1 turned out to be really bad quality, as it pilled a lot on the left hip where my bag has been rubbing against it.

#1&2- Monday: New Express striped tunic sweater, tuxedo Rag&Bone skinnies, black leather KC jacket, black Aerosoles booties, black Joe's Jeans bag
#3-Tuesday: new Express mint sweater, old blush silk Express blouse, cream 7FAMK skinnies, stone Everybody oxfords, worn for the first time, and luckily, plenty comfy despite being very flat
#4&5-Wednesday: new Express blush sweater (pic #5 is the stock photo of the cool back detail), grey R&S skinnies, taupe Report boots
#6&7-Thursday: a copycat of one of Angie's outfits from Earlier in the year. I have two questions regarding this one: Does the tucking of jeans into these short boots work and are jeans loose enough to be considered BF-esue or not quite?

And it's great you got some new essentials. Sorry about the pilling sweater, though.

I thought I recognized look 6/7!! Fun interpretation. I am not sure the jeans are loose enough to to boyfriends but they are a bit baggy, for sure. I think it works tucking them, and for some reason they look looser when the coat is over part of them. Interesting.

You wear clothes so beautifully! My fav look is #2 - as I have a weakness for b&w. Express sweater is gorgeous - and I love the back detail.
Not sure if the jeans are loos enough to be considered BFs - but others have noted that pants often appear tighter in photos than they are IRL. Do you find them loose? Do you need a belt to hold them up?

A week's worth of great outfits! Congratulations on your new finds. I especially adore outfit 8 on you, and those sneaks are very cool. The Express sweater looks fab on you, too, over those gray skinnies--the sweater back detail is neat. I may have to try to copy it.
The jeans in 6-7 look like BF jeans in the leg, but I agree it's hard to tell in the photos. They don't look quite slouchy enough in the hip area, but if they're roomy there, then they probably ARE a boyfriend fit. I might like them better worn over the boots--I kind of like skinnier legs tucked into boots myself. But it's just a preference, not as if these looser jeans tucked-in are a faux-pas look to me.

A number of great outfits! I really like #6/7 and #8 in particular. The tucking works fine IMHO.

Thank you very much ladies! It was fun to build outfits around new items.
Sadly, I can not take the sweater back, Express won't accept returns on worn items. I have used the sweater comb to de-fuzz the area. I will probably wear the sweater a couple of more times, and if it looks bad by the end of the season toss it.
About the jeans, they are quite loose - I would guess about two sizes bigger than normal fit skinnies. I did use a belt, they slide down my hips a lot without it. They probably wouldn't fall off, but you never know.

I just wanted to chime in and say how much I like all your outfits. Re the BF jeans, mine can practically slide right off, and yet they don't look very loose at all in photos. I think wearing them without boots will help - try them rolled at the ankles and with pumps or sneaks - that in itself will give them more of a BF look.

Tanya you made some great choices here. I love each outfit here. I think the sweater in 4/5 is my favourite, it's a little different for you and is just gorgeous.
