Here is the next set of outfits worn earlier this week in response to Katerina's Color Challenge, and this time the theme was Fall Earth tones. I chose various shades of brown, taupe, burgundy and olive. Like in my previous post, some of the outfits (first two) were also inspired by one of the Angie's recent outfit formula's, Simple Transitional. Also like in the previous post, first two of the outfits had to be recreated and photographed later due to the bad light, hence please excuse the wrinkles.
1) #1&2: brown sweater dress, burgundy waxed utility jacket, boots and cross body bag. This was the first time I wore my birthday boots, early on the day of my birthday to pick up some indulgent take-out for lunch. The outfit was directly inspired by the second outfit from the outfit formula post, casual dress and tall flat boots.
2) #3,4&5: lots of taupe: leather moto, striped tee, slip-on sneakers and cross-body bag, with olive pants. The pants are J. Crew copy of Nili Lotan's military pants. This as loosely inspired by the fourth outfit from the outfit formula post, moto combat. The color scheme is the same. I tried this with my cream combat boots, and the color worked, but I did not like how skinny pants looked with combat boots on me.
3) #6&7: head-to-toe brown. The column is in my good, chocolate brown: ribbon-yarn sweater, coated skinnies, textured booties, and then there are accents in lighter browns: cognac bag and patterned scarf.
