Here are two outfits worn at the beginning of this week inspired by the most recent outfit formula focusing on orange. Since orange is not a good color for me, I don't have any solid orange items, just a very small number of items with tiny amounts of orange in a print. These are likely going to be the outfits with the least amount of orange out of all posted on the forum in response to this blog post.
The first outfit was inspired by the third suggestion in the blog post : Orange, Cream and Burgundy. I have a pair of burgundy/cream plaid pants with side stripes in burgundy and orange, that already combine all the three colors. The orange stripe actually gave me a long pause when deciding about purchasing them, but in the end I decide to ignore it, as I really liked the pants otherwise. I paired the pants with a chunky cream cardigan buttoned up and worn as a top, cream booties & dark cream/light sand bag. I also tried a version with an old burgundy sweater with fun ruffles on the back, liked it as well, but filed it for future wear, and wore the version with the cream cardi.
The second outfit was inspired by the fourth suggestion in the blog post: Orange and Fuchsia. The base outfit is pretty much the same as in the post: fuchsia sweater, medium wash jeans, cognac booties. Instead of an orange topper I used a patterned scarf that includes fuchsia and two tones of orange, as well as a cognac bag. (Angie, these are the Mother straight jeans after your suggested alterations).
