WIW x2 - dressy in black and a boho look with new belt

It was atypically warm yesterday, so I could wear my floral dress together with my new red belt (marked down 50%). The red isn't as bright IRL as it seems to be in the pictures, it actually blends in quite well with the red in the floral.

I also wore my grandma's pendant with the new chain I bought for it (I asked about that recently). I think the the round chain looks more modern than the ones I already had and goes better with that style of pendant. I think this will be a new favourite!

And another more dressy look also with the new belt. I'm actually not wearing this dress all that often anymore, since I lost some weight the fit is a bit strange.

What do you think?

Your red belt is a great accent with black, Astrid!
I love the checked dress in the second outfit on you. If there are fit issues I can't see them.
Can you have it taken in a little if needed?

Thanks Parsley! It's not as visible with the jacket layered over it, so that's okay. I'm not sure if another alteration would be a possibility, but I could ask.

Astrid, both the outfits look great. I like the bohemian vibe of the floral dress, and the belt really brings out the red in the flowers. The second outfit is more formal and great for office/work.

I love the necklace- perfect way to update it and the floral dress is always one of my favorites as I think it is an elegant way to bring in your boho vibe. Looking good!

both dresses are beautiful - I like #2 best. I might lower the belt on dress #1 - it looks higher than on dress #2, but that might just be the angle of the pic. Pretty!

I really like the belt with the dressy dress in the last picture. Worn with the black jacket/sweater, it adds the perfect pop of color to the outfit, without bisecting you.

Nice pendant, it's special to wear things from our grandmothers.

Thanks Karie! You're right, the belt is higher with the first dress. But that's because of the empire waist of the dress, because of the gathers it looks strange when the belt sits lower.

Thanks Denise! I remember when I first got the dress some people commented that I should try it with a red belt and I didn't have one at the time. I think I'm going to wear this belt with this dress in all variations this fall.

Thanks Angie! And yes, posting at the same time - sometimes I check in a second tab if I have new comments because I take so long to write my answers. The weather really was magical, that's the right term. I think we will get near freezing temperatures this Friday, it's so weird! And thanks so much for complimenting my English, I'm so happy to hear that! I only learned English in school and then only as a second language. My first was French, but I forgot almost everything because I've never used it since. I'm also honoured to be crowned Queen Boho, that's a title I will gladly accept!

Yes, I think so, it was always fairly easy for me to understand a structure of a language, I never had to learn much grammar.

I ordered two coats from LE, maybe they will arrive this week. I hope one of them works out. If not I'm going to layer up under my thin coat.

Thanks Una! They really are cozy. I have to confess I don't wear anything that isn't cozy or comfortable. I just won't wear uncomfortable clothes - I can't stand to fuss with anything during the day, even for an outfit that looks great.
