WIW: Wrong color choice for 90+ degree weather

I went to the gym this morning at work (office complex has fitness center), so I had to pack my wardrobe ahead of time. This is not something I like doing or am comfortable doing. I never know what I'm going to want to wear until that morning. But with packing clothes I'm forced into something, and sometimes it's not ideal. As in today, where it's supposed to be 90+ degrees where I work, which could be considered coastal and usually 10 degrees cooler from where I live (more inland).

Dress for hot weather: Check
Dress Color for hot weather: Ooops.. went with black
Dress office appropriate: negative (tank dress, which requires cardigan)

I dont dislike the outfit. I like the color combo and the fit, but is it workable in this weather, not really.

Well, I like green and black for this spring - but 90 degreess... yes, that summer. I have a similar dilemma today. I have yet to unpack my summer wardrobe, and summer has just hit us about 5 months early. I said *whatever* and am in all black today.

Looks fab! I am with you, though, maybe not weather ready for 90 degrees!

I have not even looked at my summer wardrobe. It's supposed to be cold for at least another week, and that's really as far out as the weathermen can see! High of 40 here today. *sigh*

I wear black year-round (part of spending a bunch of time on the East Coast, even though I'm a California native, I guess)! Hopefully you can move quickly from A/C office to A/C car

It's supposed to cool down about 20 degrees come the next couple days and start to rain. We'll see what really pans out with the weather.

My plan today is the AC car to the AC office to the AC car to the AC house if needed. I'm CA native so I should be used to the 90+, which I am... when it's consistant. The up and downs lately are throwing me through a loop both fashion and sinus/allergy wise.
