WIW: Work color palette

You do not want to see my exhausted face! Theory trousers, F21 blouse and topper. This has been my color scheme since starting my new job - grey, black, blue. Makes it so much easier when I'm stumbling around a dark closet in the morning. Feedback welcome!

Love. Even though on paper the color palette sounds conservative, the leopard print blouse, the studs on the shoes, and the fun shape of the topper all keep this from being at all boring or frumpy. I come down squarely on the side of those who love a good animal print, and you are demonstrating why!

Nice! I love the shape of the cardi and the color scheme, too. Don't have a leopard top, but I might have to try and copy someday. You're doing a fab job of looking very chic and Theory-like for work!

Well if you just read grey, black, blue you might expect something's little boring - but that is far from the case. Love leopard print T, the cascading cardi ( haha alliteration) and those funky shoes.

Love the pallette! I think the white patterned top helps to brighten it just a touch, but the dark, cool colors look great on you.

This is one of my favorite color palettes and one that will feature strongly in my fall/winter wardrobe this year. There's something that is both soothing and moody about the combo, you know?

I think this outfit has beautiful fluidity in it and you've given me an idea on how to de-orphan my white/blue/black animal print blouse. Thanks for the inspiration!

I'm echoing Suz by asking which Theory pants are these? I've been eyeing the ink blue Theory's at Nordie's right now. You look great, and like the others said, not boring at all.

Thanks ladies! This photo is a little off kilter because it's so close, but I think this was a good combo in terms of structure, flow, and comfort. The pants are the Max C Theory pants. They are fantastic for those of us with narrow hips and a straight waist, though I have to size up in Theory (I'm a 6 in these). I highly recommend them.

Una, I'm struck by how lovely and perfectly Una you look in this! I know you were worried that you wouldn't have the ability to express yourself with your work clothes in your new role, but wow! I bet you are feeling great now. Your expression may be more limited, but sometimes constraints make us hone our skills. You look razor sharp here, babe!

You put the "P" in UWP. Or it could also stand for "polished". I think you look smashing in this, and the pants are a very lovely blue. It's not boring, and that's the main thing when staying true to yourself.
