WIW & WIWW: Diagonal stripes & retro RATE boho & new shoes bought in Australia

Pic 1 - You've seen the pieces in the first pic but not the shoes with the dress. The shoes aren't dated yet but are on the way out so I thought I'd better get some wear out of them, given that they are new & never worn. I like the way the diagonal straps pick up the diagonal stripes on the dress.

Pic 2 & 3- Is what I will wear if I keep the jacket. I want to but wondering if my clothes budget should go elsewhere. These shoes are also new & on the way out. I bought both platform sandals in Australia before I found out that more refined shoes are more on trend & I can't return them. A little more diagonal strap thing here too.

Pic 4 - What I wore to pick my car up today. A retro RATE boho outfit which is perfect for my part of town. We have a festival coming up in a couple of weeks & it will look more like Woodstock than Coachella. Stuck in the past here. I think bootlegs are leg shortening on me when hemmed or cut for flats.

What do you think of both shoes? What do you think of the leather jacket with the dress? Is the cropped one better proportions? Do you agree bootlegs are leg shortening on me? I probably didn't get a good angle with the photo either. Any other feedback or tips welcome.

Seriously, I see no leg shortening. True, your legs look shorter than when you are wearing heels. But you still look great.

As for the sandals, these are gorgeous ones. I can see why you bought. I and platform sandals are going to be around for a while. These ones do not look clunky. They actually look relatively refined with the diagonal lines.

The leather jacket with the dress is awesome on you!!

Thanks Suz!! I saw the sandals as my summer booties, They are both closed at the heel & are kind of a cross between open toe booties & caged sandals. So I get the airflow with the bootie look in a way.

Thanks ladies! I'm very tempted to keep the leather jacket. Not that I didn't want to before. I just need to do a priority shopping list. It will make me get more wear out of darker bottoms in the Spring. (see how I can justify it)
