WIW with new sweater

Here's my new sweater for the year, worn for casual Friday.

I wanted another blue one after last year's success https://youlookfab.com/welookf.....ew-sweater which unfortunately has a bit of a stain on it.

I think this is JFE, though I think the blue of last year's was better (I couldn't find much in that shade this winter)

1. Do you agree it's JFE?

2. Do you think this necklace works to bring the 2 halves of the outfit together?

I think your new sweater is fab, as was last years. Personally, I would be glad the new sweater is somewhat different in color. That is just me, but rather than duplicate exactly ( and I know some people do) I would prefer a difference in color and enjoy switching them out. I think the necklace is very nice. Enjoy.

I think a long pendant or Y necklace would look more current. A sharp V would be a greater contrast to the high neck.

Bridgie - actually, normally I'm with you - not a duplicator. That's partly because I have quite a small number of clothes purchases a year so I like to get variety. But I was disappointed to get the stain on last year's sweater when normally I'd have got more wear our of it (I do still wear it at home, and even out if I strategically put a scarf over the stain!). And last year's colour was really good on me. So much so that the first thing one of my daughters said on seeing the new one was "I like it but your old one looked better". My daughters don't mince their words!!

Annagybe - thanks for the necklace suggestions - I agree, they would be much better, and not hard for me to obtain. The current one was a gift and not really what I would have bought myself - but (apart from fake flapper pearls) the only long necklace I had. I'll buy one!

I love this new sweater, it is a very pretty colour. So glad that Anna has chipped in on the right necklace to wear as she has impeccable taste. It has gone cold - I am now running around in coats and scarves and loving it!

The sweater looks cozy and the colour is very nice! The other colour was fab, but I think this works very well on you too! I’m bad with jewellery myself but thought that bridgie had some nice ideas. Hope you keep enjoying wearing it!

I do think this color looks nice on you, even if you feel the old one was more flattering. I prefer the silhouette of this year's sweater on you. I like the tie-in with the black necklace. I could also see you wearing this sweater over white bottoms.

Nice sweater and color, and that cut of trouser looks great on you!

I've been seeing some long beaded necklaces coming back into retail, but they have some sort of stone or pendant treatment, which would create that V that Anna mentions. I've thought about adding a stone pendant to some old strings of beads I inherited to make them more current and wearable -- just an idea if you'd like to work with this necklace!

What a beautiful shade of blue your new sweater is! I’d say you look considerably better than JFE! Your long necklace adds to the nice tall look of this outfit. It’d be interesting to see what a different necklace does.
