WIW with jacket hoodie layering

Hi,

Here are some recent outfits and a question about indoor layering with jackets.

#1-Layering a Hoodie
I really like the idea to sport my hoodie sweaters as a layer, this was a first attempt.

#2-Black Poncho
I wasn't sure what to layer with this black poncho so I went with black.

#3-Black and Teal
More jacket layering.

#4-White and grey
Lightening up for the week with some white.

#5-Pink and black
A nod to pink for October.

#6-Coral and White
A last short sleeve top layer on a warm day.

Question-Would you wear your leather jacket underneath a wool coat? It looks like fall is here and I'm wondering if I can continue to sport outfits 1 and 3 indoors.

Ooh, love everything Lisa, particularly the hoodie layer.

I think the answer to you question is yes. Angie does it allt he time, and I do it soemtimes too. As long as your coat fits loose enough to be able to fit the jaket, why not?

Great looks, Lisa! I really like #1 and #4 especially. Totally different in feel but equally terrific on you.

I definitely wear my leather jackets under wool coats. As long as it's not uncomfortable, why not? The leather acts as a bit of an inner wind barrier, too.

2,3, and 4 are my faves. I love me a poncho! So cute and boho. I think the black under layer is perfect. I tend to always layer with low contrast tops. Love the black and teal--it's what I am wearing today, in fact. I adore you in a blazer and bootcuts--I love the light blazer and the light boots. Very nice. All of these are great but those are the ones that stand out.

I see no reason why you can't wear a coat over those jackets especially if those are indoor weight jackets. For me the problem is being able to layer a coat over anything more than a light weight sweater without feeling like I'm in a straight jacket. If you can do it, go for it!

I don't know where to start. The hoodie jacket combo looks amazing, as does the poncho and NAS leather jacket combination. #4 is quintessential fab Lisa. #5 is Fresh '70s Americana, and #6 is Killer deluxe. Rock on sweet lady. xo

I really love #1 it's that shocking blue with that rich chocolate brown. The tension is off the charts -- lovely!

So lovely! What a great way to make Angie's inspirations come to life. I like them all, but #1 is my favorite!

And I see no reason why you can't wear a lather coat under a wool one. Especially if the leather jacket is functioning as a blazer.

Tanya and Suz-Thanks! It would be great to sport my leather jackets more often, I'm excited to layer them as I would my blazers for winter months.

Kellygirl-Thanks! I just peeked in my closet and I currently own FOUR ponchos! I need to reign in my boho loving self now. They are just so fun to wear, loose and drapey and rather warm. All my outerwear is one size up to layer my blazers so I think I will be ok swapping them out for my leather jackets, which will be a nice change up this season.

Emily-Thanks! The white blazer in #4 was a splurge purchase a couple seasons back and it's been a real workhorse piece.

Angie-Thanks! *hugging back* My outfits bounced around this week genre wise, but I'm enjoying all of them. Layering the coral stripes and flowers for #6 was a fun combination and I'm happy it's a killer deluxe outfit too. I didn't think of the pink shirt as a 70s top but you are so right, it really is, and a great pink shade I don't see often in the stores. I'm going to try to squeeze in some more pink next week before the month ends.
