Here are some recent outfits, most are gifts from the holiday.

#2-Icelandic Warmth
I was fortunate to visit Iceland a few years ago, and it's become a popular destination at my job, I've had 4 coworkers go there within the past 2 months!

#3-Printed Gift
This cardigan was a Christmas gift from a co-worker.

#4-Taupe Gift
Another Christmas present, this one from my sister. It perfectly matches my booties from NAS, don't you agree?

#5-Ligthen The Black
I've noticed a lot of black has crept into my wardrobe and it's not my best color. I'm trying to lighten the black by pairing it with colors more, these jeans are a grape-ish (?) color.

Scarf is great. #2 and #5 are my favs. #2 for the stompin' boot and the strong statement graphic yoke on the sweater -- just has an overall bold and pulled together look. #5 because it has that ultra, urban,chilled out look -- with strong shoe, black elements, and a cardigan that almost reads as a hoody. Also makes a strong statement in terms of style.

I like all of the outfits but if I had to pick favourites I would say #1 and #3. I do like that printed cardigan. What a lovely gift! And those are great boots.

You look wonderful in everything. We found an Icelandic store with women's clothing in Longmont CO today. Gorgeous warm wooly stuff at great sale prices. It was hard being on a buying fast. The knit skirts were especially appealling to me.

Oh, that printed cardi is so pretty! I don't think you would've picked it up for yourself but it fits in so well with the rest of your items, and suits your coloring perfectly!

RobinF-Thanks! I've had to keep away from adding another fair isle sweater this season because I already have this one. There have been lots of fun colors of fair isle sweaters this season.

Angie-Thanks! Yay for a killer rating for the OTK boots outfit. The OTK boots sat mostly unworn last season which was a shame because they were so hard to find so this year my goal has been to wear them often, and I'm glad to make them earn their keep. I'm finding the shorter hair much easier to style, except for braiding, that's not going very well, it ends right against my neck, what an odd spot. And the scarf, it's super soft and warm. I always know I'll love one of your picks.

This is a great set of outfits! I love the scarf in #1 - it looks so cozy. I'm also loving those OTK boots and the Icelandic sweater.

Joyce B-Thanks! The OTK boots were an unexpected find (I have muscular legs and I'm short, not an easy to fit combination for any type of tall boot, especially OTK one's) so needless to say I'm really enjoying them.

Rachylou-Thanks! And I agree, a third piece in a pattern, is a nice option to mix up an otherwise solid look. I think prints are the lazy person's way to add interest to an outfit.

I was tempted by that scarf too! - but I went with the check pattern. You wear boots really well. The cardigan is #3 is totally fab on you! What a lovely gift. And the sweater in #4 - love the matchy matchy with the boots! The juxtaposition of the choker and the sneakers in #5 is great. As is the purple with the black... I'm doing the same thing with my black knit blazer and knee high boots today by pairing them with an olive skirt and a black and white top and scarf.
