Hi,

Here are some recent outfits that I wore with a tan. I used self tanner before going on a beach vacation, so if I look a little darker than usual, that's why.

#1-Black Lace
This top used to be my special occasion top, but I'm planning to buy something new so I've started wearing this top with blue jeans for a simple look.

#2-Column of White
This floral blazer has been a workhorse for me this season. Pairing it with a column of white for today.

#3-Tan and Black
Does the tan reference here refer to the sweater, or me? Sorry but I couldn't resist.

#4-Black and White
This top doesn't photograph very well, but it has a nice loose drape to it.

Oh and if you are curious what self tanner I used, I'm planning to talk about it along with what I packed for my trip for tomorrow's post on my blog. (But if you don't want to wait until tomorrow, the self tanner is Loreal Sublime Bronze, and it takes me 3 applications to get this gorgeous bronze color).

Lots of different things to like! Pic 1 shows your lovely figure to best advantage somehow, then pic 3. My fave item is the pointy tan ballet flats, adore those and would wear in a heartbeat. Then the floral blazer. I also like the sweater which I would call more taupe, the necklace you wear with it, your black lace top, and your cream ballet flats. Also your sunnies. Think you look great in everything! If I had to choose a least fave, it is pic 4, I am not sure that the high neck suits you as much. Maybe you need a bit of space at your neck?

You had me nervous with the tan, but since its fake I can relax. Looks particularly good with #3.

Lovely outfits, my favorite is nr. 2, fresh and Springy. I echo Jenni about nr. 4. I look forward to seeing your post about holiday capsule! I was thinking recently that I should try a self-tanner. I have fair skin and it takes me forever to get a decent suntan!

#2 is my favourite too. White jeans and floral = YUMMY.

Jenni NZ-Thanks! I really appreciate your thoughtful comment. And yes I agree with you, turtlenecks are not my best look. I always have to fold them down 3 times so they don't hit me in the chin or the extra material flop around. I must have a short neck. Oh and the pointy toe ballet flats were picked up from Banana Republic this season.

Sisi-Thanks! And if you swing by my blog, double thanks! I'm very pale, and that self-tanner really does a nice job. Plus it helps me go to the beach and not stand out like a white neon light against everyone else who is tan.

Bella-Thanks! #2 is also my favorite. My hair, I've changed a lot. I started using dry shampoo so I wash it less. I got a layered, and shorter haircut, and in #3 it's my first attempt at trying to use a curling iron.

Angie-Thanks! The column of white outfit paired with the floral blazer is my favorite of this group. And the beach was lovely, thanks for asking! I went to surprise my grandfather for his 97th birthday. He was very happy to have me "drop by."

Hah! I knew it! Keep at it. It looks fab and using the curling iron takes no more than a few minutes in the morning when you get used to it..

My favourite picture is #2. Great combo. And each element - the white column, the ballet flats and the floral blazer - could easily be styled with many other items.
I like the black top too, especially the upper details/lines. Since you ask for suggestions, here is another outfit idea: the black top + black cropped pants + mules or wedged sandals in a metallic and/or black + bracelet(s) in black & metallic.

Fab as usual! I like #1 best though #2 is close behind. Great new cognac flats, the texture is especially nice. Curly hair looks cute ^^
