Hi,

Here are some recent outfits.

#1-New red cardigan
I'm trying to SYC until Black Friday. Here was my binge purchase before starting the SYC.

#2-Dress Layering
Trying to layer a dress with a turtleneck. I'm on the fence for this one.

#3-Poncho
Trying out a poncho.

I love the first outfit! I have poisoned eye for turtlenecks, but I do like the long sleeve top with the dress.

The red cardi looks great with brown boots. I really like the poncho too, I didn't think I would, but you look great in it.

Love how burgundy is becoming your new blue

That blue sweater in #3 is so on trend I can't stand it. And the brown boots look utterly delicious with your hair.

# 3 has a really good vibe to me--vey flattering on you with the loose top combined with the skinny pant and boot. Edgy but simple/elegant at the same time. I never look that fashionable!

For the turtleneck, I might try something other than boots as natalia said, just to see what it does to the proportions, since there's a lot of coverage top & bottom, both at the high neck and with the weight of the boot.

All 3 outfits give very different looks for good variety!

Love 2 and 3, they reflect a new style direction for you. The sweater in #3 looks fantastic on you, you should wear that silhouette more often.

I love the burgundy sweater on you, and the dress in 2 is very mod: nice! If the armholes give you enough room to layer comfortably, I say go for it. The poncho outfit is very smart, too!

All great but #3 just steals my heart! I SO want a poncho like that!! #1 looks cozy and comfy and perfectly on trend; yummy color combo, too. I think the turtleneck layering in #2 works, though I wonder if perhaps a lower neckline would work better (like a scoop) so you end up just with colored sleeves? Or possibly wear with footwear that has a week bit of heel to elongate everything. I do really like the cobalt and black together.

Kristin-Thanks! I agree, turtlenecks are hit or miss. My favorite style are actually cowlneck turtlenecks vs the more classic one I wore in #2.

Natalia-Thanks! I'm also on the fence for the boots in #2. My flat shoes didn't work with my fleece tights though, they are too thick. I'll have to keep searching.

RunnerRae-Thanks! I kept going back and forth between brown and black boots with the red, I'm happy to hear the brown works!

Angie-Thanks! A killer for all three, yay! And it is far easier getting dressed with power, I don't have to wear the brightest items in my closet anymore.

Unfrumped-Thanks! I agree, I have to try a few more shoe styles for the dress. I think my style is starting to shift, it's always fun to look at WIWs and see it happen.

CocoLion-Thanks! I always find WIWs interesting because it's not until I look at photos that I notice my style is changing.

Day Vies-Thanks! The blue color is what first caught my eye in the stores for the poncho. I don't own anything that shade of blue. (and I own a LOT of blue)
