WIW : Edit: Bigger Pics Wide Leg Pants in Volume over Volume Ensemble :)

Good morning Fabulous Ones:)I

I haven't yet read last night's blog post yet but caught
the gist that wide leg pants are making a comeback:). I had already decided
yesterday to get these pants out and give them a run.

These
wide leg flowy pants are probably 6 years old?
I keep them because they are comfy, easy to wear, in excellent condition
and nice for a change of silhouette every now and again.

I added my sleeveless knit tunic top and wedge heeled
open toe booties.

I am often nervous of too much volume but I think this
works. I wouldn't try this without a high heel as a shorty I really do need to increase the leg line here to create a long (somewhat lean lol) column.

So thanks for taking a look. Does it work? Too much volume or is it streamlined enough?

Do you think a pointy toed flat would have a leg lengthening effect? I've picked up a black version of my red suede pointy toe baby wedge (.5 inch) and I'm hoping they will provide the required 'sharpness' while being more fussy foot friendly.

Pictures are very tiny for me. But from I can tell it works.

Carla, a pointy toe would be perfect here. I have a black pointy pump on my list for the coming season but haven't found the right one yet. They all have very skinny heels and I prefer a more block heel. I will keep searching:)

Deborah, if you don't mind my asking, what is your height? I'm loving this and wondering if I could pull it off. (I'm 5'2" and don't favor heels.)

April I am a little shorter than you. Im 5ft1 and a bit (that 'bit' is important). How about a wedge heel? I always find them to offer more support and stabilty. I can run around in a wedge heel all day. The wedge heel I have on today is 7.5 cm's.

Love it -- I think you look your regular chic self. I think the A-line shape of the tunic keeps this from looking like a shapeless form. This is another perfect foray into volume on volume territory.

Stunning, Debs!! You wear this totally well. It's all in the drape. I think the asymmetry also helps in this case. I have found it a sort of magical angle. Especially with asymmetrical hair. If I angle a scarf, even, it does something. But so, too, with sweaters, tunics, skirts and collars. The diagonal lines add a sense of movement and flow and keep the eye from sticking in one place.

The photos show normal size in my iPad but low resolution (a bit pixelated). The silhouette with this amount of volume looks great on you, very chic and modern. I would also like to see the outif with a pointy toe shoe.

You look fabulous! Really stunning. The proportions work in every detail. Structure in the bare shoulders and arms. Graphic necklace. Sleek hair and peep toes balance the silhouette. I think the peep of toe showing works as well -- better! -- than pointy toe. Unless the pointy toe were nude or bone.
