WIW white out plus black - YouLookFab Forum

Employing my whiteout idea today even though it may be a tad warm for these pants. My errands today include picking up my new eyeglass frames and getting a new phone, so I should be safe from staining my white duds, LOL. No tomato sauce with lunch!

Also wearing new Sorel sandals that I decided to try after seeing my niece wear them. They’re comfortable with a slight rubbing on the top of my left foot, which is slightly larger than my right foot — I always know that if there is going to be an issue with shoe fit, it’s gonna be the left foot. But I’ve worn them a couple of times and I think they’re breaking in. Today I’m adding a felt tongue pad (cut down to fit) inside the front strap and that seems to add the cushioning I need on the top of my foot. My hope is to take these sandals on our trip next week.

My hair is a little funky after sleeping on it and doing Pilates this morning. It’ll settle in after a few days.

Looks great! The touches of black really make it "you." (I admit I would not have thought of that crochet top as a "Janet" piece at first glance but now I see why it works for you.) I really like those sandals on you -- they seem like the perfect thing to tie together black and white outfits.

Love this look , and your hair is fabulous on the second day ! I’m trying to figure out how to wear my white version of these sandals and not having any luck .I’ve got one look for them , with a pair of black parachute nylon exaggerated cargo joggers which have white topstitching , but beyond that I’m stumped . I should have stuck with the black .

Kyle, these run TTS. I’m 5’7” and a size 8 or 10 on bottom, and these are a M. You’re 3” taller than I am, but I’m long in the legs so they may work, if you don’t mind them a little shorter than I’m wearing them here? They are also sitting on my hip rather than high up on the waist, which I like, so they are not a high rise. Not sure how that works for you. I can take measurements of the rise and inseam for you.

They wash beautifully! I hang to dry after a brief turn in the dryer to knock out wrinkles because I’m paranoid about shrinking things, but really this fabric is excellent. There’s a little give so they loosen slightly with wear but just enough to compensate for a slight shrink when they’re freshly washed. My original pair is several years old and has been worn a ton, and are just starting to show wear so I’ve demoted them to my camping capsule. But really they are still very wearable.

I’ll see if I can make a Find for them when I’m on my laptop later today.

Janet, Thank you for the details! I’m tempted because they look fab on you and would really work for my lifestyle, but the length is probably going to be an issue. I am a size 10 and also have long legs, so these would likely be a full 3 inches shorter on me.
