It was a warm autumn day here at 31*C (88*F) so I rolled out these old white jeans - AGAIN.
I thought I was finished with them. I am sick of them, you see, but it is proving more difficult than I thought to send them to the Siberia of the workwear drawer.
Earlier today I posted that my white jeans outfit for the PPC was their farewell outing.
After which I toddled off to my wardrobe, scanned the ranks and thought, 'oh, white jeans, perfect for today.'

So here I am in white on white, in an outfit I could have posted for Star Wars in the PPC:
ecru cotton vest - LE Canvas, DIY re-styled
white jeans - lands End
cotton top - made by me
mabe pearl ring - thankyou Santa!

I was very happy with the vest because it is quite fluid; I love that it moves when I'm walking. And I like to have a third piece to an outfit.
What do you think?
Too much white?

I am really tired of the bootcut fit and would appreciate suggestions for replacement white jeans. Any store that ships to Australia is OK but my budget is small.

I LOVE this outfit! Love how you've broken up the white just a little with the ecru vest....... I'm an Aussie and I got some great fitting straight leg white jeans at Sussan earlier this year. They are a good weight and cut and hide all the bad bits. You might be lucky enough to get them on sale!

Lantana, you look fantastic in this white on white outfit. It's so stunning with your beautiful hair, plus the ecru vest and shoes add extra depth to the optic white.

I completely understand that you are sick of the jeans by now, but we certainly aren't sick yet of seeing you rock them:-)

Suggestion: I've had my black and my white bootcut jeans tailored into straight legs (a very easy alteration), because I just wasn't wearing them anymore. It has made a world of difference, I can honestly say this has saved them from the orphan pile. Now they feel "fresh" again, and I'm eager to try out new outfit combinations with them. Perhaps you could consider doing this with these jeans as well?

Stunning look Lantana! And I hear you about adding a third piece:). Have u tried Katies? I bought straight leg white jeans from them last year. Nice slim leg and good fit. Fabric has stretch and I think they are a standard jean they do each year.

Well it's good to get those affirmations on white. I really did wonder if I was overdoing it.
Dlb, I have had a quick look at Sussan online, struck out there but I will have a look when next I go to the city. You're spot on, I want fabric with a nice bit of weight to it, much more forgiving.

Caro, thank you, it looks as though we have similar hair colouring. Mine is white from - originally - very dark brown. And yours?

I will try Katies too when I go to town, there's none nearer. It's a 5 hour round trip so I only go every 6 weeks or so. It's basically a frantic relly run and hard to fit shopping in, which is why I shop online mainly. But knowing what I'm looking for will be a great help. I hope things have improved for your MIL.

All white is fabulous on you - with your lovely complexion and gorgeous hair, it just sings on you.

I like Inge's suggestion of having your jeans tailored into straight legs. You know they fit you beautifully and this will likely be less expensive than a new pair.

You can order on line. They are the Ultimate Jeans and have a great wide waist band that in my case slims and firms my tummy.

Mine are a size 8! I have put weight on around my mid section since i bought them but they do arill fit lol, but a 10 would probably be perfect. i am generally a 12, So I recommend sizing down from your normal size.

Well as a member of Team White I think this is definitely not too much white, especially when you look gorgeous in it as you do. The fluid vest looks fab, too; I really dig the mix of the cream with the stark whites. I was going to suggest the same as Inge, perhaps it'd be worth altering the bootcuts into straight legs.

You look absolutely stunning. And I'm so glad you pulled out the white jeans again. This is absolutely your perfect summer look. White on white is superb with your beautiful hair and I also love the cream vest to break it up.

I understand about the boot cut ennui. I'd do what Inge suggests and make them into straight legs. And I would also do as Deborah suggests and order a pair from her source. Because honestly, you should be wearing white jeans as often as you possibly can.

What are your winters like? Angie has taught me it is possible to wear white jeans in winter. I never would have before. I have to admit I did not wear them often in my winter because filthy slush is just not a good look with white and even if you tuck them into boots it is inevitable. But I have worn them a lot more than I expected in the autumn. I liked them with a blue denim shirt; you would look fabulous in similar.
