So I've never been a fan of white jeans. Mostly because I'm a bit of a klutz/slob and fear spilling something on them (the amount I'll pay for something is directly proportional to how light or dark it is --the lighter it is the less I'll pay for it, because the odds of me accidentally staining it at some point are pretty high).

I read Angie's post about white jeans awhile back and liked the looks she put together and recommendations she made. I still didn't rush out, however, and buy a pair of white jeans. It's not something I'd ever go actively seek out.

While thrifting last month, though, I came across a pair of Zara basic white skinny jeans at the thrift store that looked like they were brand new, were my size and cost a whopping $5. So I decided, what the hell, let's see what I can come up with to wear with them (and force myself outside my comfort zone).

Yesterday I paired them with a casual and fun Marcus Lupfer sweatshirt with a cool lips/mouth motif made entirely of tiny beads. Pretty sure this sweatshirt is meant to be a dress based on the length. I sometimes wear it half tucked with boyfriend jeans as a regular sweatshirt. In this instance, though, I opted to wear it at it's full length.

I actually preferred it half tucked into the jeans but discovered why those Zara basic white jeans ended up at the thrift store...they're just a *tiny bit* too sheer. Honestly, I'm not sure anyone looking at me would have noticed it. But it made me uncomfortable so I don't want to wear them with anything that doesn't cover my butt.

I don't mind the way it turned out. It was super comfy and I was feeling pretty puffy yesterday. So comfortable was mission critical. I threw the Burberry cashmere scarf on last minute since it was chilly early in the morning and I feared my neck would be cold till it warmed up during the day.

What do you guys think? Did the white jeans work styled this way? Does anyone else but me have a strong aversion to white jeans?

Also included one photo of my typical "running errands" attire from over the weekend. Leather moto, t-shirt, jeans, and some beat up old Keds I've had for years.
