The bad news is I had to be out the door before 6 this morning. The good news is I knew exactly what I was going to wear due to Angie's ensemble post yesterday. I didn't think to take a pic until I got to work so no full length. I'm keeping it real and taking a summer stand by adding a pic of my tired face. Summers are very busy for me at work and I have two toddlers so this is my norm. I added bright lippy to try to wake me up and DH said "what's all over your face" as I walked out the door. Ha! You win some you lose some.

ETA: awhile back I asked for advise about which bag I should buy for summer. I finally purchased this flowered KS bag. It's still sitting in my closet in a bag because I can't decide whether to keep it. But it would look good with what I'm wearing. I should have used it.

Love on you. I would totally wear this, if I could look as effortless and put together. I am on the lookout for a sweater like this that flatters me. I have tried so many, but have volume issues in the drape. Maybe Angie will have some great recos this NAS and one will work out for me.

You look great! Funny, I have this sweater too and have worn it only once. I actually brought it out yesterday to try to concoct my own version of the post, but the gray in the sweater didnt work with any of my other gray tops.....which is why I think I don't wear it. Anyways - you've inspired me to try it again today with a different t (white). I love your silver Toms too - I need to find a pair!! Your KS bag is indeed pretty, but I bet a quieter soft sand or taupe or white or silver (many options!) would be lovely too. I'm not a fan of crazy bags though - so just being encouraging about using another colour

p.s. your lipstick colour is perfect! So pretty - and I'm laughing at your DH asking what was all over your face. Ah, the toddler/family years.....

Love this, perfect interpretation of the post. Gray, silver and white look very fresh together, and bag would have been perfect completed piece. I like the lipstick too and we are belt twins.

Thanks lisap. I think that's my main issue with the KS bag. I like that it's a statement but I'm afraid I'll get tired of it. And I don't usually switch out bags but I'll have to if I use it or just really clash sometimes. I'm sure you can get the sweater to work. delurked - I have the same problem with drapey anything so it's an amazing cardigan that it works on me. And yes, maybe Angie will have some more recommendations at this year's NAS.

Hah to hubby, the lipstick looks great! I think it helps add a little extra attention to your face with the otherwise low contrast coloring. Silver shoes are a great pairing, too. Definitely pull out that sweet floral bag next time. Plus it goes with the lippie

I love this outfit! It's so soft and lovely - and frankly I would have had trouble adding a bright floral bag to it. For me, too jarring. I would have wanted to grab something soft and slouchy and in keeping with the groove of this look. But it's gorgeous on you.
I do love the color on your lips! It's perfect because it's color but soft, again the right vibe. I absolutely love lipstick and buy them obsessively. Your DHs reaction made me smile. My DH kisses me like I'm his grandmother when my lipstick is fresh - makes me crazy! But he doesn't want to mess me up or wear me to work.

You look beautiful. I really like gray and white, it's one of my summer go-to's and your outfit is perfect. Love the Tom's too. I'm adding casual silver shoes this summer but can't decide if I want sandals or closed toe. I can make a case for both. I'm not into bright lipstick myself but when I see you (and everyone on the forum) looking so gorgeous in their lipstick and how it brightens your face, it makes me think about trying it.

Viva - I'm really taking notice of your preference for not adding a bright bag. I've always been a sucker for adding a pop of color but it can become a habit. I always enjoy those on the forum with monochromatic/softer ensembles and so am trying to be purposeful about wearing those too. Colette - I specifically was looking for silver summer shoes too but everything I found was quite a bit more $ than I wanted to spend. That's why I tried the Toms which I had never tried before and I really love them. Plus if I wear them out this summer (I tend to be hard on shoes in the summer) I won't be too disappointed.
