Lisa - crazy, innit? Second week of summer, and too late to exchange what you bought a week ago--sold out. I still haven't bought a bathing suit--probably need to do it in the next ten minutes if I want one this year...

@ Laura G : tsk tsk tsk, you didn't listen to Angie

Thank you, Ledonna, your comments are always kind and encouraging.

I actually logged in only to say how fab and glamorous the cowl neck linen top in nr 5 is! Please keep!:-)

Thanks Lyn, I'll keep!

Ledonna's Burberry post led me to this one, Skylurker, and now I see why she thought of you when she saw that window display! Love all these white and navy outfits on you--so fresh. You know your look and wear it with great authority.

Thanks Tulle, you used the word "authority"... and I think I associate navy&white with authority. Must be the uniform vibe Aquamarine mentioned earlier in her comment.

I love the idea of a black and white (or navy and white) patterned shoe for you, or a spectator style. It would work brilliantly with the simplicity of the blue and white palette. (And you know, I am never going to be the one complaining about blue and white, especially in summer!) I really like your uniform. It appeals to me and it does not seem boring because you keep the variety with changes of silhouette.

Red shoes would also be great.

Too bad about those Paul Greens -- they'd be perfect. But crossing fingers on the loafers.

I love you in the dress, and agree that more dresses of that kind are worth seeking for work. I have made a sort of goal to buy one summer dress per year. I don't work in an office so the dresses I am purchasing are more casual (so probably easier to find) but at the same time, I don't want spaghetti straps and the like -- they can't be "beachwear" kind of dresses for me. Anyway, there's nothing cooler or fresher or easier to wear in summer.

Thanks Suz, I agree nothing beats a dress in what Angie calls "proper Summer". I can get away with casual dresses at work, and that's convenient, because the only dresses I liked in stores this year have been "moo moo dresses" - they look a bit...childlish...but they're super comfy and breezy, and can do double duty office/vacation.

You look very cool and chic. I am glad you are keeping the sleeveless top. Do you wear jewellery at all? I want to see a cuff or bracelet with that top. (And a watch doesn't count!)

Thanks Brooklyn, tags are off and I've worn the sleeveless top this week.
I want to see tanned skin and chunky gold jewellery with that top, but it won't happen No, I don't own jewellery, except a few gifts from my teenage years, that all look too tiny (like my watch, actually).
