WiW white and blue stripes - YouLookFab Forum

I'm still trying to show a bit of spring - still a bit cool around here. I got the scarf on sale in Jan and thought of it as a spring/summer item. The belt is a vintage and has turned out to be an accessory workhorse (a swap for some clothes that didn't fit me any longer). I think the pairing of them work well, but any input is welcome!

Before leaving the house, I couldn't figure out what jacket to wear - then I eyed the trench and I believe it all came together.

- Blue dress
- Coral cami (still sticking to wool underwear)
- White/blue scarf and belt
- Black cardi with golden buttons (another wool garment *sigh* - the knit is gorgeous, though. I forgot to get a close-up, but these pics can give an impression of it, though not exactly the same: http://www.charlotteforshine.c.....bel/AYMARA)
- Black suede booties (CPW is now down to zero!)
- Trench
- Green bag

All comments, input and suggestions are welcome!

PS again the photos are far from the best, but I find mirror photos tricky - especially when time is short. I hope you can bear with me.

Wow, that trench really does pull everything together! #3 is so chic! Love the green bag with the navy and beige. Really interesting and elegant combo.

Thank you, GP! In my mind, because the trench is tailored it pulls the outfit together since the dress is quite shapeless and flowing. And true, the colour of the dress is a lighter shade of navy. Hopefully that make sense

A nice way to have stripes in your wardrobe. I have always feared stripes on my body as bottoms and as tops they tend to make me huge in bust for my petite shape and also unflattering. But stripes scarf is the best option to have. I wanted to have some stripes in my wardrobe but feared the pattern.Thanks for the inspiration and unknown help you gave me in the form of scarf.

It is from Petit Bateau which is a well known brand for baby and kids wear, but also have a nice junior and adult line. Very humble and happy to have inspired you, Fashionista. Thanks for the input on striped scarves, it was insightful. The dress is slouchy, but super comfy and I wear it all year round.

I think the dress has a great fit - it may be slightly slouchy but the length is great on you and it isn't bulky so perfect for layering the cardi and wrapping the adorable scarf without seeming too much. One of your best outfits I think as well!

I didn't think graphic at all, but I can see how the scarf tends towards graphic. Ai, Seattle must be a bit like here. I'm even more impressed by how you always keep so sharp and stylish, Angie! I'm sending warm transnational thoughts your way. As for temperature here, it is going UP... to 12-15 degrees C. It is so much easyer to dress for dry weather with tolerable temp, not needing to layer and layer and still trying to pull off the right season.

I like the column of colour with thectrench & peek a boo coral cami. The striped scarf finishes the look perfectly.

I am so with you, Harmonica. (Seattle has similar weather to Western Europe and the UK). Thanks for the kind compliment. Having very short hair when you brave the elements outside makes things easier.

I really like this outfit! I think it works well because the scarf is knitted (if it was silky and lightweight it would feel off with the tights) and you've got more white in the belt. LOVE it with the trench. Angie is right, you're "oh, this? I just threw this on" RATE vibe is done really well
