I suppose I followed that old US rule of no white after labor day when I was younger, but I no longer care about it, although I do choose to wear white mostly in warmer months. Over the summer I find I've gone off white. I don't feel much like wearing pants or tops that are entirely white, and I passed on my one pair of white sandals that were no longer comfortable without missing them at all. I do like it as an accent color or as part of a print.

Surprisingly, today I felt like wearing white jeans, but with fall colors. I love the idea of wearing lighter weight items in fall colors this time of year. This outfit was perfect for morning errands but by mid-day I took off the jacket.

  • White Jeans - Levis
  • Orange graphic tee - JCpenney
  • Rust faux suede draped jacket - new from TJmaxx. Brand is Bagatelle (I added a find showing this jacket in taupe but mine is rust colored)
  • Sofft metalic sandals
  • Black Radley Bag
