WIW when I want to be done with winter

We've had a particularly nasty snowy, cold March so far and I am SO ready to be done with winter. . . and lately I'm finding myself choosing silk or lightweight cotton sweaters with a base of Uniqlo's Heattech tops, and managing just fine! (Maybe I'm just toughened up by this time of the season?)

Nothing fancy, but they worked nicely at school and play, and I still felt well dressed!

1) Parker tunic (that is really intended to be a dress for *ahem* younger women worn over NYDJ straight legs. (We have a new 'no denim for certified staff' dress code, weird, huh? but I figure these comply

2) Super neon Gap sweater and leopard belt with Gap Always Skinny worn as BFs. So comfy I wore this three times in a row - out to casual dinner & to church, then with the brown NYDJ straights to teach at one school, then with black straight trousers to teach elsewhere!

I forgot to get the pics where I added a deep leopard scarf (in honor of MaryK - Miss Neon & Leopard). No doubt I'll repeat myself - and try to get a pic.

Ooh, what a treat! I think of you every time i don my "Toughen Ups"--but I digress. I LOVE both of these. The Parker tunic is stunning on you. Love the cap toe flats with them. What a flattering and stylish outfit! Simple and gorgeous. The neon outfit is just fun and appeals to my casual nature. Semi tuck is perfect and those smoking slippers are perfect for a transition to spring. You look fab. I like these pared down and unfussy. SO fab!

The tunic is super chic, love this outfit. Clever girl, skinnies as BF's maybe I should try that, did you just use your everyday skinnies and roll them up? Citron is such a fun color and this is the perfect way to wear them.

Sara, remember how warm and even hot it was at the same time last year in Chicago? <sign> we had a snow storm last night...I am sick of my winter garb too and rebelliously wearing booties to work tomorrow!
I like them both on you. Tunic over straight legs is very flattering and neon sweater with BF-like jeans is fun!

Thanks, BJ - Yes, I felt funny about buying a dress just to wear as a top. But I do like this one a lot. And the hair - shorter than last year, but a tad longer than last cut. I think!

Shevia and Carole - thanks for the neon love! I adore it and can't believe my good luck that it is still going strong. I'm sort of stocking up. . .

Thanks, Sveta, and yes - I remember it was 80F last year! This year on St Pat's, it was 30F. Boohoo! In fact, last night it was 3F with well below zero wind chill. Will it ever end?! (And here, I had just declared I was done wearing winter coats!!)

We've also had three significant snow storms in the last week. But there was just enough sun in between them to clear off sidewalks, and parts of parking lots. So, I'm wearing SHOES. (well, except for the 3rd storm where I got my shoes so wet with snow that I stopped home between schools to change into snow boots.

I was in chgo on st pats day and thought of the ylf crew!
