Ah, Mr. ND and his pointed opinion on my midi dresses. He clearly does not like this windowpane pattern dress, which he says makes me look old...LOL!! Then, he said I should dress more like one of our mutual friends and show more skin. I asked him to please refrain from comparing me to other women as we had one of our worst arguments on this very issue.

I love it! Sometimes people have weird associations they don’t even realize then they project them (nothing about windowpane says old to me?). You always look elegant, current yet timeless and very comfortable in your style of choice. Good for you that you did not entertain the conversation any further.

Interesting, in that lots of men don't prefer their own wives to look hawt in public. Snappy, is what you look like to me. Dynamic. It's what I strive for as a person who actually is old.

I love windowpanes and your dress, think it is elegant and feminine with an edge-and shows just the right amount of skin for this style. I wouldn't be bothered too much if DH's not favorite, You can dress for his liking on other occasions, too!:-)

I love window pane print, and "old" is the last thing I see in you in that dress! I agree that he has foot-in-mouth or preexisting male socialization syndrome (LOVE these expressions). The shoes are also fab!

JAileen: Oh yes, Mr. ND has Foot-in-Mouth disease. I would like to enroll him in charm school. Mr. ND describes my outfits as "getups." I know he says that to get a reaction from me. Getup is a more accurate description of what he wears.
