WIW: weekend edition (urban casual and sporty casual)

A couple of outfits from this weekend! I guess the theme this weekend (aside from casual) is red accessories. I do so love my red accessories.

#1 was worn on Saturday to go to a museum followed by dinner out. I started with a casual outfit of knit moto + linen tee + cuffed black jeans but kicked it up a notch with red heeled Fluevog booties and red purse.

#2 was worn today (Sunday) for a trip to the Arboretum and then errands. Because we were planning on walking a lot in the Arboretum and because I wanted to give my feet a rest after the heeled boots from the day before, I decided to wear my New Balance trail runners. (Although after seeing Neel's and Natalie's great sneakers this morning I am definitely itching for some fun bright colored athletic sneakers. I do have fun ones for actual working out but I do not like to wear my elliptical sneakers outside at all to keep them clean.) In any case, my feet were happy. Every so often people seem to ask here, "does anyone actually wear jeans and a white tee here?" and here is your answer. Yes! Plus my awesome red hat, of course, since it was sunny.

Bonus pics from the weekend's activities. 3-7 are from the Arboretum. Lots of beautiful flowers and foliage right now. #5 is what happens when I ask my husband to take a picture of me. =P Pics 8-9 are from an installation at the Peabody Essex Museum where the walls and floor were painted in blue and white designs based on heraldic crests. I am really crushing on blue and white patterns right now so I thought this was really cool.

#1: Anthro moto, F21 linen tee, Kut jeans, Fluevog booties, Via Spiga handbag.

#2: Gap tee, Radcliffe jeans hacked into clamdiggers by me, New Balance trail runners, Fossil straw bag, Seeberger hat.

Wow the booties(?) definitely kick #1 up a notch or two or three:) Stunning outfit. Just the right amount of dresssy and casual for the occasion. Great photos too.

Love the first outfit - not just because of the 'Vogs but because of the interesting mix of elements. Love the moto with the semi tuck top and the bf jeans! Love the red hat as a splash of colour for look #2.

Outfit 1 is just brilliant! Love black with olive and the red shoes and bag pick up the red from the drapey jacket. A super fun outfit IMO!

The hat takes outfit 2 out of the ordinary *white tee and jeans* look. And such pretty flowers and colors in 8-9. Blue and white is a winning combination like your jeans and tee

Both of these outfits are superb! I especially like the clams and white T.

Such fun pictures! I also love both outfits. The floral jacket and booties are wonderful together, and you totally manage to bring some flair to even a very basic white t-shirt/jeans/sneakers ensemble.

Ok you are urban and hip. But Pic 5 has got to be my all time favorite from you. In part because I love action shots whoever took this one tell the husband that these shots are amazing to me. It looks like they belongs in a magazine somewhere.
