Angie challenged me recently to not think too much and analyze everything to pieces when adding to my wardrobe next season. I'm not adding much yet, but I'm practicing by shopping my closet and getting dressed without giving it too much thought before it actually happens. A good advice and fun challenge, Angie!

This week I've been to the office three days, and had two days at home. I was a bit surprised by how much I loved wearing a couple of orphaned items. I've been practicing yoga a lot lately, and also done a lot of weight training and cardio, shed a couple of pounds, too. The result is that a dress and a pair of Levis that had become too tight around hips/waist now fits again! I'm so happy about that, because I really like those pieces.

#1: The navy blazer makes my patterned silk tunic more wearable. Paired with old Levi's 510 jeans that fit again, and brown booties and belt. (Office)

#2: The black Boss sheath I bought a year ago also fits again, thankfully. I tried a mix of neutrals with a white tee layered under and a silk/cashmere polka dot scarf in grey and black. Patterned tights and black pointy toe pumps. (Office)

#3: I recently thrifted a pair of straight leg dark jeans from Tiger of Sweden. They are a tad roomier than my other jeans, and longer, too, and the most comfortable pair I have. I liked the hem folded like this with blue wedges, a very old grey silk shirt and the cashmere hoodie. Simple luxury. (Home office)

#4: A simple outfit based on a black BR v-neck in wool ( a true workhorse, Nancylee!), a pair of black jeggings/skinnies from COS and the thrifted pinstripe grey blazer. I also wore my Brouged Chelsea boots for the first time after Christmas. Dainty jewelry only - two tiny chains around my neck. (Office)

#5: I felt a strong urge to wear wide legged pants today, so I pulled out the bootleg trousers in navy and paired them with a striped merino sweater. Black belt and blue wedges completed the look. My daughter said I looked "70-ish in a good way". That is good in my book! (Home office)

All outfits are put together on impulse, and I felt good in all of them. Most of the pieces haven't seen daylight for a while, and I liked to get them out of hibernation. My outerwear this week was one day with the red coat, the rest of the week we've had terrible weather with sleet and snow, so parka is the only option. Today I even wore rubber boots.

I wonder if it is a pattern or consistency here. I can't really tell - can you? All and any comments are most appreciated. Thanks for reading/looking!
