This afternoon I went to a wedding shower for DH's soon to be daughter in law. It was a beautiful warm day and the shower was a "high tea". I don't think I have been to one like that before.
I wore my Three Dots olive green T shirt, Swirly Skirt and Reiker wedges. I also wore amber earrings, amber bracelet, silver bracelet and wedding rings.
I have been growing my bangs out and doing the "swoop". Very annoying. Lots of hairspray needed. Picture 3 is the inspiration pic for my hair. Except I didn't put the waves in today.

that's a cute idea for a wedding shower. I think a friend of mine did high tea for hers but I wasn't invited to her shower/bachelorette party, just the wedding.

I like your outfit--you look good in olive-y tones. Good luck with the bang growth--I like the inspiration pic hair.

You look fabulous in those sour-ish greens. And I used to have a pair of Reiker sandals in the same style but a much more boring colour!! Mine wore out after several years of very hard wear.

I hear you on the swoop. I used to wear a side swept bang like that and the grow out from short hair was a real pain. You look great, though.

Thanks everyone for the vote of confidence about my hair. I have tried growing out my bangs before and then cut them out of frustration. I spent many hours watching You Tube videos to figure out how to keep them swooping to one side. I may have figured it out.
Crazyone the high tea was very nice. The women had gone to a lot of work and made little sandwiches. I don't remember the last time I had anything like that.
Thanks Carter. I am not sure how much I am going to grow my bangs out. Not completely. I don't like that look on me. I need something to soften my face these days.
Suz I love Reiker sandals. I can actually wear them. That is saying a lot these days.

Thank you Skylurker. I often just pin my bangs back. Not that attractive but stops me from going grabbing the scissors and hacking them off.

Thank you Diane G. I am thinking I will focus on accessories to make my outfits interesting. Easier when I am travelling.
Kkards I think I may have been a little undressed for the shower. That is another story.
Joy and Rachy I lucked on these sandals. They go perfectly with this skirt and my T shirt dress. I will model it 5 pounds from now. It is a bit body con today.

I might bump it up for the next few events.

Thanks Angie. I need your cheering to grow my bangs out. It is a pain. This is about the third time I have tried.
The sandals are very matchy-matchy. Especially if I wear a brown or yellow top. Next time.
