Yesterday evening was the Boston banquet reception for all of my in-law's local friends who were not invited or could not make it to the wedding. It was a Chinese banquet at a local restaurant. I wore my gold Ralph Lauren dress with a bunch of gold bracelets, since traditionally chinese brides wear gold. What looks like a big wide bangle on my left arm is actually 2 smaller bangles that my MIL wore at her wedding 38 years ago (Friday was their anniversary). On the other arm I have one of my wedding bangles. I'm also wearing the ruby necklace I wore at my wedding and my red clutch (another good luck color). The shoes are the black version of my wedding shoes (which were silver). I've had these black ones for ages and they are very comfy as dressy heels go. (I think my nude shoes actually looked better but they are far more uncomfortable and since I knew I was going to be standing and walking a lot, I went for comfort.)

And I got my hair cut finally! I went for the inverted bob that I used to have before deciding to grow it out for the wedding. In the banquet outfit, I have it styled with curls and ringlets. The last couple of photos are quick snaps from this morning after I had washed out the style and air dried. I feel so much better now that the long hair is gone. She didn't want to go too short so she could do the fancy style for the banquet; I'm wondering if I should go for even shorter though.
