I suppose on an average day I wouldn't choose this dress to pick up steak and salad to grill out tonight. But I think my overload of work uniforms and loungewear has me wanting to wear my duds. Anyway, because it is a little store in a town of 3,000 in the mountains, I left off any jewelry so as not to appear 'overdone'. ha
I think I will keep it on for our little back deck grilling session. We were debating going to a local casino steakhouse for dinner and I suggested a trip to the market instead. Why not stay 'dressed' for our own dinner together?

Any and all comments appreciated. Including - why would you wear a dress to sit on your deck??? etc lol
I have a thick skin.

Such a gorgeous colour on you. I remember when you got this dress. I am glad you are wearing it. I do this too, sometimes. When I've had a long work-at-home spell, I'll just put on one of my "city" outfits for my own enjoyment.

I think this is great sans jewelry. Slips right between dressy and casual. Those sandals are the best.

I need to do this more often. I do try to get dressed (ie no yoga pants) when going out of the house, but I am likely to take it off pretty quickly after returning. Thanks for the nudge! YLF in that color and the shoes make the outfit look light for summer. Well done - though I'll take my steak medium

Wow! That blue on you is wonderful. Is it the same colour as your eyes, 'cause eyes don't usually look so bright in these selfie type pics. You look beautiful, but not overdone for a b-b-q with your SO.

Beautiful color on you! Why wear the dress? You are worth it. And since you aren't dining solo, BF is worth it, too. Just be wary of the spattering grease, salad dressing, etc., lol.

Mo, I made a shift in the last few years into believing that I deserved to wear fab clothes that I feel great in, even if I was just going to my studio, running errands, or staying home. So I think it makes perfect sense to take any opportunity you can to wear this beauty! You look great and not overdressed at all, IMHO.

That color is gorgeous on you and why yes, I dress for dinner...at home. Lately I have been doing really good at wear my "nice" clothes at home even though my husband is the only one that sees me. It makes me happy.
