WIW: Warm in a skirt.

Morning all. Today's wiw is another version of my previous outfit worn on Friday, comprising chunky sweater, skirt, thick tights and boots. I also added hoop earrings again and I've changed my nail polish to a slightly metallic mauve-y nude colour (Elegant Mauve by Max factor). The first pictures are with my knee high boots worn outside and the last is with my indoor booties.

Very nice! Are you wearing the skirt for your "at home wear" for the day? I think it's great that you stay dressy at home. For me, that would be much easier to do in a comfy skirt than in jeans or pants with snaps, zippers, etc. Is the skirt a nice heavyweight material? I have a nice heavyweight houndstooth fabric on my sewing table and I need to get to it

Pretty nail polish and earrings too!

Hi Karie! Yes, I'll be in my skirt till about 8.30pm tonight and I'll probably get into nightwear and robe then. The skirt fabric is a blend of viscose and poly I think. I got it at a fabric warehouse and I don't remember the fibre content. It has a substantial lining in it as the fabric isn't overly thick. Your fabric sounds lovely. You should make it up for sure

Diane, I am completely enamoured of this look for you. Elegant, relaxed, and fab. Like Inge, I love the silhouette of that pullover. The nail polish is also lovely.

But it's those indoor booties that I can't get over. GENIUS idea, much better than my indoor shoe capsule!

Are these "real" booties or are they sold as slippers?

Thanks Suz! Ah, the booties... yes my little bargain. They are sold as proper booties. I was looking for the cheapest real shoe/bootie I could find, of a comparable price to slippers, and I decided to look in the sale/clearance section of one of my favourite shoe websites. I came across lots of faux leather booties by the brand Anna Field and I liked the fun look of these. Only £17 too!
