Hi Fabbers!

It's been a busy summer so far and I'm wearing more and more midis. Below are some recent WIWs:

White cocoon blouse (Club Monaco) and black midi skirt (Joe Fresh)

Knife pleat chiffon skirt (Club Monaco) and black blouse (Banana Republic)

Some of you might remember that my mom rescued this silk blouse from a Value Village - well, it serendipitously cane with lined silk culottes! One Fabber referred to this print as 'William Morris' and though it's outside of my normal colour pallette, I love it. Do you think it works with the taupe complement? I wasn't sure what color to pair with it.

That printed VV outfit is amazing! I love how sophisticated and unique it is, and the colour is really great. Perfect with the taupe jacket too.

Roxana, you ooze elegance in every outfit. My favorite is 7-9 and love the way the taupe compliment looks. My second favorite if 1-3. Whiteis stunning on you.

The patterned silk set is fantastic, no wonder you love it. It is brilliant with the taupe complement. You look gorgeous, the colour is great.
I also love the outfit in 4 - 6, beautiful skirt.

OMG. You look fabulous. I LOVE number 1. But that skirt in number 2 is to die for!!!!!!! Those pants are GREAT. You styled them to perfection.

See you don't need jeans to get dressed. You can just wear a fabulous skirt instead. I never thought I would say this, but that formula is perfect in so many ways.

You guys are so sweet. I'm glad you like them. I do think I've found my groove this summer with office dressing, in which my formula is often fitted or tailored top + midi skirt or culottes + tailored topper. I feel comfortable and elegant. It's the winter dressing, where I felt mostly on jeans, that I will have trouble with.

I'm glad you all like the last look: hubs said I looked like Mrs. Roper and thought it might be too much, but really, I'm the Queen of Too Much so I just went with it. But I was keen to hear what you all thought. Glad you are not in hubby's camp

What is hubs talking about?! You look great! The taupe jacket works! I definitely can see why someone thought of William Morris for the pattern though. It’s definitely something I might find in a fabric sample at the local Stickley factory.

that knife pleated skirt is TDF! and the "wallpaper" 2 piece dressing is fab..looks like a jumpsuit but without the bathroom issue, LOL. love it! and the black and white outfit is perfection....

The colours of the trousers and top is amazing on you. It is super with the jacket.

I'd be super grateful to know how the CM skirt pleats stand up to wearing? I have a knife pleat skirt from CM and I am worried about how it might cope with sitting on the pleats.

Roxanna, you have never looked better. These are all killer gorgeous on you. WOW! You were made for midis and culottes! And do you ever wear CM well. That top in #1 is stunning on you. As is the knife pleat skirt. It's clearly a great place for you to shop.

But the last outfit is incredible! Your mom is your fairy godmother for that one. The culotte "jumpsuit" works brilliantly with the taupe jacket and sandals. I do think the print is a bit William Morris-like -- I love it on you! Colours definitely work. The necklace adds a gorgeous bit of shine.

@Jane - I find that if I buy knife pleat skirts in polyester blends, they stand up phenomenally well. I have two that I have never needed to iron!

I love all three outfits, but especially the thrifted one. The jacket looks perfect with it.

You are always so fashionable! The outfits are excellent all around, but I especially am enjoying no. 1. The fabric drapes so perfectly on you, and the proportions are spot on. Love the shoes too!

Thank you all! @Gigi the shoes are suede and gold from the Clarks outlet and surprisingly comfortable. I love the way that top drapes too (though I must admit it draped better 7 pounds ago!)

I think that the first and third outfits are very elegant. I like the knife pleat skirt on you, but I feel like the rest of the outfit doesn’t quite balance out the very strong vertical lines. I’d suggest a a shorter chunky necklace or short pearls as well as some almond toe shoes. I think that the outfit needs a touch of horizontal emphasis as well as more roundness to feel more complete.

Also, purple really suits you and you would look fab in wearing it frequently.

Thanks @3style - looking at the knife pleat skirt outfit, I see what you mean. Maybe an untucked top and a chunky necklace for more balance next time.

I love that white CM top too -- it seems to have the PERFECT cut - length, dip of the V, sleeves ... I might have to try that.

And the print outfit is really fun. Seeing it, and noting the wallpaper reference, immediately brought to mind this wonderful visual from the movie "Garden State."

These are all great! #1 is so chic and classic. The colors of the knife pleat skirt are great and I like it with the short black top. The floral pieces look great with the taupe accents that you added.

@viva - the CM top is several years old, unfortunately. But I love the drape of it too.

And your image of Garden State cracked me up - I had forgotten about that movie!
