WIW: Volume on Volume

I love volume on volume looks. So here's one that I wore this morning for the school run. Still in the highs of 98F here. But mornings are definitely cooler and I could feel the winter setting in. A few school kids were in cardis! The first sighting! Yay!

I am wearing my navy wide leg linen pants (Next/last summer) with my boxy cropped top (F&F/this summer). Deep red pointy toe ballet flats (Zara/this summer) and my mini crossbody bag (Etienne Aigner/old) completed the outfit. This was a very comfy outfit and I hope it looks as good as it feels

Neel, this outfit is fantastic on you! Very flattering, chic and casual look. I love the colors; the red flats and bag really bring the outfit alive. I like that shade of red, too--it's a little muted or cool looking.

I especially love the top on you, and the pants give you super long legs! I would try darker shoes just to emphasize that. (And I totally relate to the hopeful signs of the first sweaters- although it is only getting up to the 80s here.)

Thank you AG for asking. Finally he seems to be 95% alright! Still mild nose congestion. But the heaviness in the chest seems to have lightened. At least he sleeps well

You look smashing in these colors! Your lipstick really complements your bag color, too.

Clearly, you need to shop to fill that shoe wardrobe hole! Although I love your red ballet flats. I have burgundy loafers, and it's hard for me to tell, sometimes, if an outfit looks better with them or with a dark, neutral shoe. I'll stand in front of the mirror with a different shoe on each foot, trying to figure it out. (Someday I'm going to accidentally walk out of the house like that!) It often comes down to what I FEEL like wearing, as I think both colors work, for different reasons.
