Thank you for all the compliments!
chewyspaghetti, I was glad to see your Vetta post as well. I feel like I still haven't entirely figured out their sizing (especially for tops), but I really like the company and always love seeing other people model their items.
Angie, thank you! It was super comfy! And YES, office wear is even trickier than usual... which seems like maybe it's a free pass to dress up or down (within a range) as the mood strikes. Or at least that's what I'm taking from it
Jaime, thank you for the validation on the skirt length. I think I'm used to closer to knee length on me, so it just took some time to adjust my eye.
Speaking of the length, Zaeobi, I'm 5'5" (and a half), so I think that's about 165cm. The skirt is mid-calf on me, so I'm going to guess a little longer on you? And oof, yes, I almost ordered more (all!) of the glam capsule, but I was saved by items being out of stock in my size. I did try the top that matches the skirt, but didn't like the fit (very, very cropped, and weirdly on me). Sizing up might have helped, but I wasn't sure how much use I would have gotten out of the top anyway so just returned it. I'm also tempted by the edgy capsule but I have to keep reminding myself I'm not likely to wear a leatherette mini skirt that also has special cleaning instructions.
Thanks, Brooklyn! Vetta Capsule is a brand that puts out capsules of around 5 pieces that are meant to be worn together in a ton of different ways. Many of their pieces are convertible in some way (turn them inside out like this skirt, flip them front to back for a different neckline, zip off the sleeves or separate the skirt and top part of a dress to get separates, etc.). They also use sustainable or recycled materials (this skirt is 100% recycled polyester), and most items are made in the USA. You can also buy their items separately, which is what I did here. The allure of all those options from just a few pieces is *really* strong, even if a lot of their pieces aren't my style.
LaPed and Xtabay, I want to see pictures if you do pull the trigger and try it! Or any other Vetta pieces... I love seeing them on other people.
Jenn, it's wise to realize when we won't actually wear something even if we really like it. I love your 60s rockstar prints but know I wouldn't reach for them myself, so I'll just admire those on you. I used to have a cat with rosette markings, so I have a soft spot (so to speak...) for wildcat prints.
High five for TRR, Jonesy! It's been a while since I ordered from there, but it's the source of some of my most treasured clothing items. It feels SO good to get a fancy piece at not-fancy prices.
