I had a couple of days before a workshop in Maine to explore a bit along the coast. I chose a hot time to come, apparently, but it should cool off next week and hopefully it will be cooler for my few days after the workshop on the way home.
For hiking and exploring I am firmly in gear mode, but I picked up this Columbia dress at Marshall’s last week when I was looking for something completely different. For $30 I love the color and found it surprisingly well-fitting and *mostly* flattering (yeah, the world sees my knees, oh well!). Sometimes a sporty dress is the perfect thing, and it’s impossible to find such a dress that doesn’t show the knees, for some reason. Surely I’m not the only outdoorsy woman who would prefer to hide the knees, or is it just me? I’m wearing the wrong bra with it in the pics but it kind of looks like a swimsuit so I wasn’t fretting it. The jacket lasted about five minutes before it got too warm at 8am to wear it!
