WiW: Utility jacket meets LBD

harmonica

I needed comething very comfy for work and I wanted to wear the utility jacket again, so here's what I came up with.

-Utility jacket
- LBD (Karen Millen)
- Blue shrug
- Polkadot tights
- Purple wedges (Fly London)
- Floral scarf
- green/neon earstuds
- green bag

Well as far as I'm concerned, utility jackets go with everything.

Love it all, especially the blue shrug and the killer yellow stripe on your shoes!

Thanks! Your commets are so kind, cheerful and enlightening! It's all thanks to all the supportive comments that I wear this.

A few months ago, pre YLF, I would not have dared to pair such a jacket and dress!! I also would not have chosen dotted tights, the green bad and the shoes together. I would think of it as *way* too much and *way* too risky. Well, the green bag would probably live a quiet and boring life in the closet. I felt very well and super happy in this outfit today

I was thinking that the jacket might be a too long, but none has mentioned it, so I guess it must be ok

ETA: Utility jacket is from now on the wardrobe essentials list - dress it up, dress it down, it's all up to you!

Oh, this is just wonderful! You look so fab, so stylish... I'm running out of words here, but you get the idea. This is stupendous! I love the edgy layering of LBD with cropped jacket with longer utility jacket, the fantastic fun shoes (I have got to find something like that! are they as comfy as they look?) and whimsical scarf, and the I-mean-business solidity of the bag. This is absolutely inspired.

You are such a sweetheart, Manidipa! I love reading your comments, they are all so insightful and with a great sense of humor Yes, the shoes are very, very comfortable. I'd like another pair, but havn't found any that makes my heart sing yet. The only drawback is that they are quite heavy, so not the best choice for travelling / packing light
