I've become rather obsessed with neutral tonal outfits of late, and I figured it might be worthwhile trying to put some outfits together out of the clothes I already have instead of rushing to buy new pieces. As I started thinking about this endeavor, I looked down and my rescue Persian girl Bella was curled up in my closet. She is predominantly white, but has patches of very light cream and grey all over. It's a very stunning combination, or I might be biased
1-Bella Bean hanging out with my boots. She got the Bean part of her name because her coloration reminds us of a toasted marshmallow Jelly Belly
2-My interpretation of a recent Ralph Lauren Collection ad that I love. It's as close as I can get, with a cream cashmere skirt and sweater, some cream high tops and fluffly socks and an oversized bag. I wished I had a jaunty knit cap, but no such luck. I love the look of the giant turtleneck on the model, but I wouldn't be able to see out of it!
3- The outfit from #2 with a camel coat
4-I thought I'd try some things with white jeans. The left panel is the same cream sweater with my linen and silk bomber sweater as a topper. The middle is where I really start channeling Bella. I added silver oxfords, belt and cream/navy Breton with a cream cashmere cardigan.
5-Left panel added a light grey and cream marled linen t-shirt with beaded neckline to amp up the grey component. The right panel is the new SSIF cream and grey leopard print sweatshirt.
Go ahead, call me a crazy cat lady. I don't mind! I've added finds for the couple of things that are still available. I feel pretty chuffed about what I WAS able to do, even though I still don't look like the ad. FYI, I looked up the pieces and that outfit would run somewhere close to $10,000, so WOO HOO, look how much I saved! As usual, your comments and suggestions are welcomed!
