WIW: Upscale track pant turns maternity wear

Inspired by last week ensemble here is my version of upscale track pant. Just love the tuxedo stripes in them

Few things I have noticed:
Maternity pants don't really work for me. But these strechy pants make me sigh!!!They are so comfortable. I consider it good because this investment can be used even post pratum

Secondly I just wear black booties now, my brown booties are languishing because I can't wear belts, which means I can't book end the brown booties. Black hair- black booties instant pulled together look.

What's your opinion ladies, is this too home dressing or have I managed to look presentable?

Also, I am contemplating getting a leapord print sweater to team my stretchy pants with, which would be my version of statement sweater.

This is fabulous Ramya! I love the stripe which leads the eye down to your booties from the dark top. A lovely cohesion.

Sporty chic! IKWYM about the black footwear. I culled most of my brown out but sometimes wear brown and black together. Leopard sounds fun. I wonder it the background would be best if it was mostly black though--to match the stripe on the pants?

Ramya- glad you are finding some comfortable, fab maternity pants. Clever to try the track pants- you look great and adding a statement sweater could be fun. Good time to be pregnant, with fluid fits easier to find. Perhaps bookend brown booties with a bag if you want to keep them in rotation. Well done !

Firstly, it's great to see you. I've been wondering how you were and this is a nice update

These are great pants to work with and great maternity staple. Two good bottoms can get you through pregnancy - that IS my actual experience. Buying long pants is my nightmare, buying long maternity was just too much for hormonal me. So I settled for two I managed to source and was more than fine. I was then just playing with tops.

Pairing your track pants with black footwear is both obvious and perfect choice. I'd like to see this outfit with sleeker footwear though, for less casual vibe (although, I don't know what you're after).

I'd also reconsider leopard sweater. It might be ALGO with such prominent contrast on the bottom. I like the outfit as is - maybe try different length of top i.e. tunic for variety. Black looks great. (I admit I am on black kick this season.)

Or try different neckline. Just playing with necklaces or scarves you can actually create a lot of variations and they'd look fab, I am sure.

I remember that even though I got tired of wearing the same things, it was better to find a few great silhouettes that made me feel i looked fab than to have gobs of so- called maternity items just to say I had variety.

This is a great outfit, Ramya! I like the continuous line of black; it makes the outfit look nicely pulled together. I also like Ornella's ideas about other possible tops.
